Woo Hoo!!!
I just got back from coppin' the demo code at GameStop.
I didn't even have to pre-order a copy or anything.
I just mentioned it to the clerk and he handed me the code.
I'm so amped to play this game.
I was blown away by his performance. I actually see him more as a Mayweather Jr. style fighter than Hopkins. I know officially Noriega landed two punches, but I didn't see them. I think he will be a champion soon and for quite some time.
I see the similarities between Rigondeaux and Mayweather.
He's got the speed and he likes to pot shot.
I just think he should throw more combinations.
As fighters age they mature mentally. That is the difference between watching a 28 year old fighter and a 19 year old fighter, especially a 28 year old fighter that has been doing this his whole life.
Hes picked up a trick or too and has learned that its best to use his tricks than to go all out every round.
He fought an incredibly mature fight tonight. I was impressed. I expected him to be a little more wreckless.
He should've been more wreckless.
His opponent was offering no offense, so why not blitz him?
Guillermo's an experienced boxer.
I'm sure he's capable of going into attack mode if he wants to.
Especially against a guy who's not giving you anything in return.
If continues fighting at 175 he will have to fight mandatory Tavoris Cloud next and the other big name opponent out there is Adrian Diaconu. If he can SOMEHOW land a fight with Zsolt Erdie that would also a big fight. Hugo Garay although not a known name, is a good B level boxer. That's about it for the 175lb division.
There is some interesting prospects coming up like Shaun George (who's actually a contender now) and Nathan Cleverly, but there not in a position for a title shot. I really expect Dawson to move down to 168 either next year or two years from now, unless some of the champions from 168 move up to 175.
I meant...
There's nobody interesting for Dawson to face at 175 lbs.
Who wants to see him fight Diaconu or Erdie?
After he fights Johnson he should move down to Super Middleweight.
He's definitely more of a counter-puncher.
His opponent was too scared to throw any punches though, so he didn't really have an opportunity to counter.
Rigondeaux should have destroyed that guy anyway.
He just didn't put any punches together.
So let me sum up what you just said. I know the guy is 28 and just turning pro, but I want him to fight with the energy of a 19 year old fighter that is still wet behind the ears.
He's not 19, but he still has the speed and talent to have stopped Noriega earlier if he had just pressed the action.
I know that's not his style, but against such mediocre competition he could've done it anyway.
I think he is going to be a very good fighter, not an exciting fighter in a lot of his fight, but that will not stop him from having a lot of success.
126 pounders with real 1 punch power are kind of rare, so that does not really bother me, but I think he is going to get a decent ammount of stoppages because of his counter punching.
He just needs to tighten up his defense and stop the bullshitin'.
He's not gonna be able to measure his shots and keep his hands low in front of experienced boxers.
With that said, I was very impressed by his hand speed and timing.
You could have started off saying that instead of trying to pass Lomanchenko off as the better fighter when that is clearly not the case.
I agree that Lomenchenko would be much more fun to watch along the lines of Gamboa as he is not afraid to mix it up, but he is in not more skilled than Rigondeaux.
Exactly.
Lomanchenko is a tenacious, agressive fighter with decent hand and foot speed, but he's not as skilled as Rigondeaux.
I've got my eye on Lomanchenko though. He looks like an exciting little fighter.
Lomanchenko is actually much more like a Hatton with better defense, but thats besides the point.
He uses the same footwork patterns, same in and out bounces, same following style.
Exactly what I thought.
Lomanchenko's movements are very similar to Hatton's.
I like the guy's style though.

30 ko's within 3 rounds.
Wouldn't you say power was a gift from god?
He's got power, but a lot of his KO's were against lower level opposition.
When I think of Corrie Sanders I don't generally think of a naturally talented boxer.
I think of the sloppy, awkward Heavyweight who lucked out against Wladimir Klitschko.
Always liked guys who had a ton of talent but never trained.
Everyone can be a workout monster, I always like guys who's gifts were god given and eschewed training.
James Toney and Corrie Sanders stick out in mind.
Corrie Sanders?
LOL.
I don't think Corrie Sanders was ever blessed with any "God given gifts".
At least not in the boxing ring.
You're thinking is clearly skewed.
Had he bothered to train he would've been fine.
Many guys ducked him because of his power.
You don't get "lucky" against Klitschko.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, man.
I haven't seen the fight in a while.
I just remember Sander's win over Klitschko being a big upset.
I still don't think Corrie Sanders is the best example of a naturally talented fighter though.
He wasn't really expected to beat Wladimir.
Im sichk of Dawson fighting geezers. Jesus christ this guy is a bore fest.
Their first fight was pretty good.
There isn't much else out there for Dawson at 175.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, man.

I do agree with your selection of James Toney.
Dude can plain out fight.
11 second 100 meter dash and a scratch golfer.
And destroyed Michael Sprott in 1, Klistchko in 2, and should've beat Rahman in 3.
You don't do that withOUT a ton of talent.
Tua had the talent too, and a harder head but he was just too damn short.
I couldn't care less about Corrie Sanders, brah.
He's just another non-distinct face in an era full of boring Heavyweights.
I don't even know why I acknowledged that you mentioned his name.
just go on this account and download it thru there

Come on ya'll.
Spread the love.
Help out a fellow fight fan.
I'm fiendin' for this game.
Give me a tip or something.
Is anybody willing to share their PSN if I delete it after I'm done?
Are there anymore of those dummy accounts?
If so, message me.
I'll even throw in some Green K and my huge collection of points.
It was not a good fight to showcase his skills. He was in with an overmatched guy, and Rigondeux is not the type of fighter to just jump on a guy, he is poised and patient to the hilt.
He is not an all action fighter though, he is a defensive counter puncher so against guys that actually throw punches I think he will look much better then he did tonight.
That said there are 2 things I saw that I would like to see from him, I would like to see a lot more snap on his jab and not the bullshit pawing jab he was using. I would also like to see him keep his punches short and sweet he seemed to be winging in power shots, they were fast but they were not short and sweet.
He's definitely more of a counter-puncher.

He didn't put any punches together.
It depends.
Ricky Hatton knows that he has the tendency to get KTFO, so he wisely makes his son stay home.
But seriously, Hatton was right.
One punch can end a fight, so it may be best to keep the youngins' at home.
:gives::lame::repost: for real...ur not gonna get far in this forum with these kinda threads.
Get far?
This isn't a job, son.
I'm just makin' conversation.
