9 YEARS. That fight was 9 years ago and he was a man about it. He confessed. How many did never confess??? Who can guarantee me, Margarito's inhuman punch resistance isn't due to some experimental illegal drug he NEVER CONFESSED taking?
You're thinking about the wrong fight. The 1st fight with De La Hoya in Staples back in 2000 was won fair and square by Mosley. It was the rematch in 2003 that was called into question. Shane was bigger for the rematch and actually much slower.
People always talk shit about Mosley running out of gas. When the **** has Shane Mosley not finished a fight, or barely finished one laboring or some shit? Mother****er is a day in day out gym rat, so miss me with the bullshit. He doesn't look good because he doesn't fight the way he used to. Doesn't focus on his combos and multiple body shots. He doesn't utilize his hand speed anymore. Just throws those little baby jabs to set up a overhand right, then throws a left hook every now and again.
Margarito is so overrated it's not even funny. There's nothing techincal about this ****er, pure chin and power. So many welters today have a superior technique to Margarito. If this were the late '90s Shane Mosley or early 00s, I'd take him easy. But to say Mosley's gonna get ko'ed, or forced to quit when that's never been the case is hard pressed.
Oscar clearly won that fight. Floyd the bitch fought like a pussy and was running for dear life.
Get the fuck outta here. Look at Floyd's face at the end, then look at Oscar's. De La Hoya looked like a slapped up prostitute who failed to come correct with the cash on time. Hell, look at compu-box already... Oscar lost easy.
Cotto won the fight fairly.. Fuck those people who doubt Cotto.. Cotto Defeated mosley and he showed his good chin tonight..
Fucking idiots.haha
He won fair and square...agreed. But to me it's more 'cause of what Shane didn't do than what Miguel did actually. Fuck he was waiting for this motherfucker way to much, his dad even told him to stop that shit. He's got no reason to wait on Miguel Cotto, in fact it was predicted to be the other way around. Didn't they dub the fight the fast and the furious or some shit? He barely threw his signature combos. Miguel didn't wear him down with body punching either. Shane's usually not so hesitant, and that played a large role in his defeat tonight.
yay someone owes me some points muhahahah i knew he would win because of his style i think it was a gd fight.
What does everyone else think?
I tell you what I think...
Shane looked like a fuckin' retard in there most of the time. He spent a lot of those rounds waiting for Cotto to get off first, (watching) and if you're the faster boxer..why the fuck would you do that? Didn't see his signature combination punching, virtually to adjustments for a predictable right hand lead, Shane still throwing that little weak ass useless left flicker jab in championship rounds. Despite all that, the fight was still close which really surprises me.
Had Shane gotten of first in at least two of the rounds between 4 and 8, he probably would've won or at least drawed... But honestly, neither fighter impressed me tonight.
