Well, let me think... I'd like to see both/either of them fight:
1.) Amir Khan (147)
2.) Andre Berto/Victor Ortiz II winner (147)
3.) Miguel Cotto (154)
4.) Paul Williams (154)
5.) Robert Guerrero (147)
6.) Saul Alvarez (154)
7.) Sergio Martinez (154)
8.) Timothy Bradley (147)
I'd like to see Floyd in particular fight:
1.) Antonio Margarito (154)
2.) Victor Ortiz II (147)
I'd like to see Manny in particular fight:
1.) Brandon Rios (140-147)
2.) Erislandy Lara (154)
3.) Juan Manuel Marquez IV (140-147)
4.) Lamont Peterson (140-147)
Most of all, I'd like to see them fight eachother.
You should probably edit out that last part. The Pacquiao fans on here are razor sharp when it comes to political correctness, and reporting anything that is borderline offensive.
In the ideal world Bob Arum won't be able to slither under the door with his top hat on this time.
I'd rather see Floyd fight somebody who is established around 147-156.
To be honest, ideally it will be Cotto. That fight is like the modern day Lewis-Tyson, ie. should have happened years ago when they were both in their prime, but will do just as well, if not better, in $ now. It would be interesting to see Cotto sustain his first clean loss (assuming he would lose).
Guerrero is by no means a terrible option, he just needs to establish himself more in my opinion. He should chase Khan, Alexander, Mosely, someone like that.
the first time i saw robert guerrero i couldn't stand him. no logic stands behind it. i just didn't like the guy. i don't know why.
and then a few fights down the road he wimped out against daud yordan and i felt like a terrific judge of character
eventually he grew on me again, but for a while i couldnt stand the guy
Funny, I have been exactly the same about him.
The competition in today's heavyweight division is terrible. I know people have said that a lot over the past few decades, but honestly, Odlanier Solis and Dereck Chisora are horrendous defences for any era. Same goes for Cedric Boswell and Jean Marc Mormeck.
There is no mention of stripping or a no contest? Is that just your opinion? Amir lost fair and square. A rematch will be held in a GBP "home" location, where Peterson's only chance of victory will be by knockout. Funny thing is, that outcome is not beyond him.
The thing is, regardless of who the guy in the black hat is and what he's doing, the fact remains that Amir Khan lost clearly, fair and square. I find it highly ironic, and a great example of karma, the way Khan was happy/fine with Juan Manuel Marquez getting so blatantly screwed out, and then he has the audacity to try and use his and Golden Boy's weight/influence to try to con his way out of a clear loss. It just makes me laugh, certainly isn't going to win him any fans.
I think Amir Khan has been exposed somewhat. Shane Mosely has the tools to get in Amir's face, rough him up, bully him, and he definately has the power to hurt him. It isn't impossible for a similar outcome to the Lamont Peterson fight. If Shane hurt him he'd stop him. I think Amir, in his fight against Peterson, and also against Marcos Maidana, he seemed to "shoot his bolt" in the first 2-3 rounds, then just held on for the remainded, throwing arm punches and running.
okay all your points. khan beats him in the rematch.
points where your mouth is.
Khan beats him in the rematch, or Khan gets a bullsh*t, robbery decision in the rematch? Those, as you can see, are 2 totally different outcomes.
Okay, I'll bite. Are you saying that Juan Manuel Marquez was not in his prime for either of the first two Pacquiao fights?
I am saying he definately was not young.
Juan Manuel Marquez? Pretty obvious.
Barrera wasn't young, but he was still about as good as ever.
Your boxing knowledge is terrible. You put Holyfield over Lewis. GTFO.
OP likes em young... ;)
My girlfriend is 5 years younger than me.
Sasakul, Ledwaba, Lucero, Barrera, Solis, Marquez (beat him twice), Cotto and Hatton.
Beat him twice? C'mon, what planet are you from?
Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound? You stopped being a fan because they happened to lose a fight or two.
I bet your favourite boxers are: Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Tim Bradley and Yuri Gamboa. Am I right? :lol1:
Well, Daniel Ponce de Leon and Steven Luevano both have losses and I'm still a fan.
My favourite boxers are actually: Roy Jones Jr., Andre Ward and erm... Miguel Cotto. Marco Antonio Barrera too. Lamont Peterson is kinda a flavor of the month fighter for me.
I was a fan until the post-fight b*tchfest began. The fight was a fair result, Amir Khan and Golden Boy Promotions are a bunch of cowards, and they made it clear with their lobbying to get a corrupt decision in their favour. If things pan out were a rematch is demanded and Lamont Peterson has to go to Las Vegas and get screwed out, then, well, I will probably become a hater.
haha, this idiot might even get KOed...
I would say this is a lot more likely than "might", try "will most definately". I believe Sergio Martinez beat the best of the current crop of British fighters in his last outing.
