Newly released 24/7 esque HBO Documentary that followed James Kirkland before and after his loss against Ishida. Pretty Good. If anybody has HBO Go you can watch. Been trying to figure out how to post it on the site. Here is some screen shots from it. Alotta good behind the scene stuff.

Watching right now. You gotta admire Kirkland's dedication, man.
I was never very "high" on him, his style, or his career years ago. Then he ended up being jailed for that weapons charge and I just thought to myself : "Man, this is a f*cking idiot". It made no sense to me why he would do something like that with such a bright future, and it still doesn't.
Then the Ishida KO comes along and everybody (myself included) writes him off and figures he's finished.
Then the Angulo fight comes along and he completely changes my perception of his worth as a fighter. It wasn't easy getting to where he's at right now, that's for damn sure.
It's not on HBO Go anymore...:( Where can I watch it?

I like Kirkland and all that, but the dude gets preferential treatment it seems like from HBO. Although it seemed like the judges may have been getting ready to screw him agaist Angulo. Just don't recall HBO doing something like this with any other fighter who lost a fight.
HBO was filming this as his 1st big major step to his comeback and had no idea that he would loose this.
If you follow his story and the story of his trainer, i see why HBO wants to show the world this, its interesting.
Great episodes. Watching this and 24/7 I wouldn't mind seeing something like this on a boxer as he makes his professional debut and follow him around for his upcoming bouts.
