I apologize for the vagueness of the topic title, the limit on topic title length makes it hard to ask the question I was trying to. Basically, have you ever found that you end up supporting/liking a random fighter, say on an undercard or something like that, an opponent of one of the fighters you've always supported? I'll give some examples.
1.) Daniel Ponce de Leon - This guy has so many flaws it's unreal, but I can't help being a fan.
2.) Steven Luevano - Random one, but I'd class myself a fan.
3.) Jesus Chavez - The one who was involved in the Levander Johnson tragedy. I saw a documentary about how he was having to fight to not be deported, etc, kinda made me a fan. Didn't last long though as he lost every fight I saw him in.
4.) Leonardo Zappavigna - Liked the look of this fighter on the Cotto-Mayorga undercard, and the Zappa alias, just a shame he had a bad 2011, I didn't last long as a fan...
Paulie Malignaggi. I'm a fan of his boxing and the way he handles himself outside of the ring. He's a true warrior and is always willing to fight anyone. He's also a very good boxing analyst.

Henry Brusseles - thought he had skills too bad he had no chin
Jose Hernandez- guy has given Mikey Perez Mickey Bey Luis Ramos Jr all they could handle and I quickly became a fan of his. Just got signed to Espinoza Boxing so hopefully they right his career
Really big Casamayor fan. I was even rooting for him against Marquez...1 of my favorite fighters.
Chavez jr currently. Not because I like him, but because he gets so much flak while Canelo gets passes for the same $hit. I still believe at least Chavez fights people, he goes to the body well & has far better stamina than carrot top. Cintron? Really?
Almost identical to Floyd getting $hitted one for cherrypicking while Manny strolls in on his high horse & does it far worse, usually at mannyweight.
To be fair, Chavez has been fighting about 4 years longer and is about 5 yrs older than Canelo. I do agree with the rest of what you said about Chavez though. He also has a pretty good chin.
Timothy Bradley. The first fight I ever watched of his was vs. Alexander, and it was underwhelming. Then he fights Casamayor and I was like, "WTF is this bull**** matchup?" Two days ago, I watched his fight against Peterson and re-watched his fight with Devon, and the dude can fight when the opportunity arises. His fight with Lamont was very entertaining, and it showed me why some feel he is the best at 140. It's unfortunate that all he's really known for is his headbutting, which in the instance of the Devon fight, wasn't all his fault.
the first time i saw robert guerrero i couldn't stand him. no logic stands behind it. i just didn't like the guy. i don't know why.
and then a few fights down the road he wimped out against daud yordan and i felt like a terrific judge of character
eventually he grew on me again, but for a while i couldnt stand the guy
Funny, I have been exactly the same about him.
old time fighters
awesome, brother.
if those guys had pop and world class talent they would have been great boxers.
they've got more ring intelligence between the two of them than many of the divisions in the game today.
i was expecting like, the exact opposite type of replies, Lol.
word.
paul spadafora is my favorite boxer, and a hero of mine from childhood.
also emmanuel augustus, dude just did it his way.

Its not boxing but Im a Bearcats fan for similar reasons. Bored as **** one weekend and there was nothing good on tv so I was gonna try to suffer through a football game and honestly became a fan of the team after that game. It was a good back and forth action type game.
I don't know why but I really like Zab Judah.
Even if he has a little quit in him...I had high hopes in the fight with Khan.
dont worry, i bought the wolftickets too....

Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound? You stopped being a fan because they happened to lose a fight or two.
I bet your favourite boxers are: Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Tim Bradley and Yuri Gamboa. Am I right? :lol1:
Well, Daniel Ponce de Leon and Steven Luevano both have losses and I'm still a fan.
My favourite boxers are actually: Roy Jones Jr., Andre Ward and erm... Miguel Cotto. Marco Antonio Barrera too. Lamont Peterson is kinda a flavor of the month fighter for me.
Now.
Stick that in your Angus Steakhouse double with fries and a large Pepsi and eat it...
Miguel Cotto. I used to dislike him because he always has this mean mug on but for some reason always bought or watched his free fights. Guess I've always liked Cotto.
And,
Floyd Mayweather. I've watched all of his fights from Corrales and on. I had always rooted against him and wanted all his opponents to knock him out but the man is gifted! I also caught myself emulating his counter right at the gym during sparring, guess I've always admired his skills.:dunno:

Mikey garcia. Has to be the quietest and most humble member of his stable and goes under the radar but always impresses me while continually stepping up competition.

Jr has been growing on me lately. Despite his blatant Maravilla duckery
