In this order:
#1 Mikey
#2 Brook
#3 Canelo
Out of all of these opponents, only Spence was truly in his prime. GGG was starting to slow down when Brook took the fight, plus Brook was a big welterweight and GGG was an average sized middleweight.
Canelo took on the worst LHW champion in boxing knowing darn well he was past his prime. I’m taking nothing away from Canelo as it was an impressive KO victory; however, it was definitely the least risky of the fights you mentioned.
Agree that David Benavidez is Canelo’s threat are 168. The kid has serious some serious talent and I really hope we get see him reach his full potential. The other two fighters that I could see causing him trouble are BJS and Andrade - mostly because they run around the ring a lot which is a stylistic nightmare for a counterpuncher like Canelo. I also think BJS is a lot better than people give him credit for. That’s not to say he isn’t deserving of some of the criticism he receives but more pointing to the fact that he’s someone that fights up to their level of competition.
@175 there’s Bivol, Zurdo, and Beterbiev all of which would be great fights.
Insult to fans
Having both men go through camp, fighting on the same day, in the same city, on the same card would be a major slap in the face to fans. I wouldn’t want to see this card happen for free, let alone spend PPV money, unless it meant with 100% certainty that the showdown was happening next.
Either way, this card ain’t happening.
I think difference here is that GGG v. Chenko was a great fight - lots of action. Whereas, no one is calling for 12 more rounds of watching Lara run around the ring sticking a few jabs here and there.
I’ve been impressed with Zayas and happy to see the step-up in competition and willingness to fight 3+ times a year which IMO should be what all young fighters should be targeting at this stage of their career.
I like this fight and hope it gets made. Berchelt is a monster and possibly the most overlooked fighter in Top Rank’s stable. Arum needs to wake up and make this guy a star! Get him some exposure by putting this on regular ESPN, no ESPN+ crap, and have it down in Mexico while all the other sports leagues are suspended - since Lopez Obrador doesn’t seem to be taking this whole Coronavirus thing all that seriously.
No one is paying $80 on top of the DAZN subscription. I think this would be one hell of an entertaining fight but, let’s be real, the casuals don’t know how these guys are and DAZN doesn’t have deep enough pockets to promote this the way Fox/ESPN did with Fury vs. Wilder II. I’m sorry, but this fight isn’t getting made any time soon.

Undefeated Shakur in his prime is a much better choice than the great Loma who is 36.
The Shakur fight isn’t going away and will only get bigger the longer it marinates whereas is 36 and not getting any younger. Better to make the Loma fight first.
Tank would look real weak fighting Loma now, at 36, after losses to Teofimo Lopez, and Devin Haney! Shakur is in his prime, undefeated, and WBC Champion! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! If not Shakur, at 135, I would rather see Tank vs. Teo @ 140!
Disagree. Teofimo and Haney both had significant size advantages against Loma and he still delivered. He put on a great performance against Kambosos but Father Time waits for no man so this fight needs to happen next or never.
He should be willing to fight any welterweight that will get in the ring with him. Does anyone believe that he can beat a game Porter or even Thurman? I don’t!!
How about this one...
