Floyd isn't nearly as overrated as Manny.
He has yet to beat JMM convincingly...then he fought the SORRIEST mofo available at 135..not to mention a poorly trained DLH.
Next up for Manny is yet another Mayweather leftover..Hatton.
Wasn't Zap Judah a left over from Carlos Manuel Baldomir, Cory Spinks or Kostya Tszyu? Manny went up in weight and still did very good. He 's only had one fight on 135lbs and 147lbs. He did good enough and still displayed great speed.
Juan Manuel Marguez won at 140, but he was losing most of the fight untill he hurt Diaz. Diaz wouldn't have that speed advantage against Manny.
Clottey is one tough dude and unlike Cotto he will be there for all 12 rounds, but unlike Cotto thats all he really has. He even slower he has less workrate and he has less speed. Manny will escape much easier from him than Cotto, but he would have to be carefull not to get careless in the later rounds.
How many fighters have been hurt by Plaster? If you ever were in a accident you should know. Cotto was in one than he had the brick incident against Margo. Than tried to recover by fighting jennings, but he didn't recover from the Clottey fight. pacquiao has'nt been hurt untill the first four or five rounds of the cotto fight. Cotto also rocked him around the 8th round, but didn't have much to follow. The day Manny gets a beating like the ones Cottos has got lets see how many top fighters will manny beat next. I'll bet he'll retire. De La Hoya and Hatton were easy fights and he didn't get hurt so he came in strong.
Pac should retire. Mayweather retired when he was 30 why can't Pac? Floyd beat De La Hoya, Hatton and retired. Pacquiao beat De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto. He can retire now.
Floyd retire because he wanted no part of the Welter Weights- Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, Berto, Quintana, P.Williams etc. Because he didn't want to get hurt.
Hatton did rocked Mayweather and he's a smaller dude, so Cotto, Mosley, Margarito or any bigger fighter has a chance to knock him out. Mayweather isn't in the small division any more where he went up against Castillo and Corales. The only big guy he fought was the slower, older version of De La Hoya.
I'm not convince by a first round knockout. Paul Williams could of come in with loaded gloves and we would never know just because he won in the first round. So a guy beats you in a big fight and you can get lucky in the 2nd. Quintana was disturbed by Paul Williams team. He wasn't sure he would fight him untill the last month. They were playing games and that could've distract his training.
