Let me guess: you became Katsidis' biggest fan, after only watching that one fight of his a week ago?
Clown Hopkins all you want. But Katsidis will never achieve a quarter of what Hopkins has.
I am not as familiar with Perez/Mares myself.
I am hearing nothing but good things.. almost a compliment to the main event, yes?
I've heard some people say it'll be better than the main event.
What was bogus about?
He had warned Rafa a few times during the fight prior to the deduction and IIRC you can see him telling Rafa to keep them up during that round.
The punch that caused Russell to deduct the point wasn't that bad, but he had several warnings previously. I thought Russell handled the fight very well.
I thought the point deduction was fair, but I still had him winning. I think it was by one point.
It was a very close fight.
lets pray for that... cos I beleive bradley want noneeeeeeeee OF THIS!!!
Once Bradley disposes of Alexander, will you still be a fan of him? Or are you just a band-wagoner?
I'll be rooting for Marquez but I'm more excited about Perez/Mares.
I've heard a lot of buzz about that fight, but I'm not really familiar with either of them.
I've never seen Mares fight, but I saw Perez' fight against Agbeko. I'm guessing it's gonna be a toe-to-toe brawl?
1. He never quit on his stool like Vitali
True, but Vitali never got knocked out by a past-prime cruiserweight like Haye did.
2. His fights are exciting! unlike Wlad who just paws
Excitement doesn't give you a higher ranking.
3. He was an undisputed champion, wlad has never been one
He took those titles off of two mediocre opponents. Those two mediocre opponents are the only top 10 fighters he faced in that division. Meanwhile, Wladimir was actually trying to clean out his own division.
4. He has great sense of humour, doesnt talk like robot
I agree, he's very funny. He talks a lot of trash and then hides like a weasel.
5. He beat the largest Heavyweight ever
So did a 46-year-old Holyfield.
6. He beat the best Latin Heavyweight ever
When he was completely shot, yes.
7. He keeps the boards buzzing constantly
Only because people are wondering why he's ducking the Klitschko's.
8. He has aspirations to clean HWD, Wlad hasnt done it in 6 years
It's very hard for a fighter to clean out his whole division. But Wladimir tries and continues to fight plenty of top 10 fighters.
How many as Haye fought again? One?
9. He is a happy champ, not grim and negative like Klitschkos
The Klitschko's may not joke around a lot, but at least they don't talk meaningless trash and then run away when someone answers.
10. He just fought two big names in a span of 5 months, sisters fight a name every 5 years
He's fought a guy who was out-boxed by a 46-year-old Holyfield and a very shot fighter in Ruiz. Congratulations. Enjoy your moment.
The green belt and black belt are two items Wladimir has never touched because he was afraid to unify the titles from 2004-2008, his big brother wasnt around to handle all the tough guys.:fing02:
Besides Vitali (his brother) and Lewis (who retired), the ones who had the WBC belt were Rahman, Maskaev and Peter.
He beat Rahman later on, Maskaev wasn't that much of a threat and he already beat Peter prior to when Peter won the title.
As for the WBA belt, Ruiz, Valuev and Chagaev held it.
Ruiz and Valuev wouldn't have been much of a problem. He beat Chagaev and then became The Ring champion.
This just shows you how much of a drama-queen fighters these days have become. In the old days, top fighters could lose five fights in a row and it wouldn't be a big deal.
