Could he have been more naive in that fight? Fucking kamikaze tactics by Hatton.
What would you suggest he should have done, tried to outbox him at range? His tactics were sound (until he lost he head in the 6th) he was just beaten by a better fighter. End of.
There's only one Ricky Hatton (etc)
I'm a Brit, and thus highly bias in favour of our Ricky. While I don't neccessarily agree with the scoring at the top of this thread, I have to agree that he gave Floyd much more than any of the other mentioned fighters. Only Castillo has had him in as much trouble to my knowledge.
No shame in Hatton's defeat at all. He was in there against the finest boxer of this decade and one of the greatest Welterweights of all time.
Khan the World beater: Time will tell.
This thread is a joke! Of course Khan is not ready not face the world's premier welterweight now. However, lets not forget this kid's acheivements to date.
He won Olympic silver only losing to Kindelan who would surely be a world champion was he not a Cuban. He then went on to reverse that loss with a great display in his final amateur bout. He just beat Graham Earl in a little over 60 seconds and it took the highly rated Katsidis a lot longer (not to mention the knockdown) to do the same.
Yes, he has a shoddy defence, but he has a good team around him who will iron out the creases over time. He has unquestionable speed and power which I believe he can certainly take up a weight or two as he is massive for a lightweight. This lad is going to win world titles, whether he can depose of legends like Mayweather in time is a question that I don't think anyone can answer quite yet.
