Last night i was checking the BBC boxing forums just to have a laugh at the latest non-sensical ramblings from these people. Last week Hatton was gonna knock mayweather out in 7 rounds because mayweather is overrated, now mayweather is an all time great. :lol1:
Anways, now some of the people on this forum, were seriously calling for Amir Khan Vs Floyd Mayweather next year, with a few people actually giving Amir a chance to win.
The latest story is that 'Khan is just as quick as mayweather, mayweather will be shot and therefore may give mayweather a harder fight than hatton'.
Just thought i'd let you guys know this.
:lol1:
saying kahn is as quick as mayweather aint a bad statement imo. there are boxers out there that are fast as him...
When's the last time you saw Floyd throw a combo like Juan Diaz?

What would you suggest he should have done, tried to outbox him at range? His tactics were sound (until he lost he head in the 6th) he was just beaten by a better fighter. End of.
Yeah you're right, running in head first against the most accurate puncher in the sport was probably the best move after all. A few body punches would have been nice.
Shows how pretty stupid our media is.
a lot of amir khan fans aren't necessarily boxing fans. they're entire boxing knowledge comes from barry mcguigan and is then exagerated 100 fold.
i don't mind him myself and just wish the idiots would let him develop like any other prospect.
Could he have been more naive in that fight? Fucking kamikaze tactics by Hatton.

lol thats funny
mayweather recovered too fast, not only was he not hurt, hatton knew he wasnt hurt, rushing in is what got him knocked out anyway.

The biggest bullshit spewed over the 6 days is how Mayweather is supposed to have 'proved' his greatness in the Hatton fight. Kermit Cintron would have stopped Ricky Hatton, he was garbage last week.
Khan the World beater: Time will tell.
This thread is a joke! Of course Khan is not ready not face the world's premier welterweight now. However, lets not forget this kid's acheivements to date.
He won Olympic silver only losing to Kindelan who would surely be a world champion was he not a Cuban. He then went on to reverse that loss with a great display in his final amateur bout. He just beat Graham Earl in a little over 60 seconds and it took the highly rated Katsidis a lot longer (not to mention the knockdown) to do the same.
Yes, he has a shoddy defence, but he has a good team around him who will iron out the creases over time. He has unquestionable speed and power which I believe he can certainly take up a weight or two as he is massive for a lightweight. This lad is going to win world titles, whether he can depose of legends like Mayweather in time is a question that I don't think anyone can answer quite yet.
I agree, Khans a good fighter, really got more public into Boxing along with Hatton and Calzaghe. The last person to do it this well was Hamed, the thing about Hamed was though, he had something about him, he was cocky but he did it so you liked him, he had a really unique and attractive style and he was a bluddy good fighter.
Khan seems to average and doesnt do anything attractive, plus he hasnt got a great defence. Still, would like to see him face a decent fighter, it seems he's just being set up in gimme fights by Frank Warren who'll want to milk Khan dry before he gives him any sort of challenge incase he gets floored on his arse.
the thing is, mayweather was off balance, hatton knew his punch didint exactly connect flush thats why he kind of backed off, a guy like hatton knows when to capitolize, hes a good finisher, this wasnt one of those instances.
keep in mind, ive seen the fight about 5 times since saturday (official nuthugging admission)
lol, yeah I'll take your word for it man. It's clutching at straws on my part. Anyone who knocks floyd down should etch it into their gravestone.
yeah there was no way he was hurt but he was falling down. Anything at that point would have put him down. Although I honestly haven't seen that again in real time, I can't bring myself to watch that fight again.

I was looking at your gif, man Ricky could have ran in completely gung ho to fuck, and put Mayweather on his arse, a knockdown would have been something to shout about. Although that could be a super slo-mo..lol

If Floyd can KO Hatton, Amir would emerge from this fight in a vegetable-like state, no question.
No one is disputing he knocks Khan out. I'm saying it takes him 4 or 5 rounds.
Khan would get the shock from hell if Floyd was across the ring from him.
Amir Khan probably could compete with Mayweather over four rounds, probably win a couple. Then he gets KTFO.
Khan could be pretty special if he went to America and tightened up his defence. I don't see that happening while he is here.
