I went to see Roy vs Tito and the seats were expensive and far away but it was cool to see Roy live. I saw Margarito vs Mosley and the tickets were cheap but the atmosphere was bad as everyone was cheering for Margarito and he got destroyed (people were crying or fighting in the stands and security could not control it).
My best experience was Cotto/Margarito 1 in Vegas. The atmosphere was crazy with both sides having loud cheering fans. I agree with people saying that being at home is better as the viewing angles are better and you can pause/rewind it but that fight was incredible to watch live.
We can't get showtime on any cable provider but we had "super channel" which showed showtime programing including the fights. But super channel said because of the lack of good fights it wasnt worth it and ended their supscription to showtime boxing.
Any Canadians know of any other way to get Showtime fights besides online steaming?
I can't believe we can't watch any Showtime in Canada anymore. The SHO app would be a solution but I can't register because I am not in the US. I e-mailed Showtime asking how a Canadian can legally pay them and they responded with:
The international distribution rights to Showtime Sports events are generally retained by the event's promoter, not Showtime. You may want to contact them directly regarding the airing of this event in your country.
Showtime torrents are hard to find unless its a PPV, and paying Showtime through a family member in the US then using an IP rerouter is weak because it costs money and is still illegal.
Anybody know a way/place to find links without finding out the results first? If I find something I will let you guys know
This sucks, I was really looking forward to the wilder fight this weekend. Hopefully tsn or sportsnet will pick up the good fights like they used to. Not sure how I'm going to watch this fight now streams don't work well on tablets.
Kurupt1019 is right, I just checked and the Wilder/Steverne fight is on TSN2 live so it looks like we are all good!
first fight you have to see is against Vasily Jirov (I still have that on VHS)-I'm pretty sure it was the fight of the year.
His fights with Holyfield and Ruiz were classic James Toney (only in a fatter heavyweight body).
First fight with Samuel Peter
And of course the first fight with Mike McCallum fight ( you might want to watch that one first as it was much earlier in his career then the ones I listed above.
