but the man is a certified ATG
Certified by himself? He named himself GOAT just like Michael Jackson, who also named himself the pop king and kept repeating that until weak journalists picked the name up. He's not the GOAT, leave that to Ali.
Crawford is P4P #2 and no way Manny would beat him now. So he can't be P4P #1 now, but the best across the time - maybe... At least I don't see Floyd there (The Best Cherrypicker Ever).
I don't think we would see threads like this started if it were not for the other threads that bring up the Salido fight. Some guys use terms like clown, bum, hype-job, paper champion, etc etc. They go a little overboard, and of course some are just straight trolling.
I'm not sure that losing isn't such a big deal. It depends on the overall resume and the context surrounding each L and each W. Not all W's are created equal and neither are all L's created equal. There's razor thin decisions, there's dominant performances, vicious knockouts, biased robberies, and a number of variable controversies.
Some guys with undefeated records have fought all tomato cans and just haven't faced anybody yet. Others WERE undefeated until they lost to elite competition.
Apparently, the "experts" have put Loma's L in proper context, because they still rate him P4P and whatnot. Who knows, if not for that Salido decision Lomachenko might not be the pro fighter he is today. Salido's tactics may have worked back then, but the concensus is that Loma has evolved since, and understands how to diffuse that style.
So, an L can be very important, it just depends how it is spun. Like you said, the fast track runs more of a risk and is reserved for the special ones. Those boxers are expected to evolve much much faster than most.
I personally think Loma deserves more props than condemnation, for overcoming the Salido loss. The only time an L needs defending or explaining is when somebody takes it out of context or defines an entire career by it.
Just my perspective. Peace. :beerchug:
Truth, bro.
once again, another post with 0 substance
Sorry, all substances were already taken by Floyd.
You're so fanboish that you didn't get sarcasm in the previous post.
thats all ya'll have is insults and gay jokes??? nothing to prove me wrong at all???
We won't prove you anything right now doe. We would first wait until you get older.
When Manny says he can still make 135
Manny saying that he still can make 135 was just a self-advertising. Loma was only proposed to fight Manny at 140 and this was turned down by his trainer. No proposals for 135 were done.
pacman comes into the ring 148 pounds soaking wet fighting guys who weigh 160 plus on fight night. Loma has an inch in height and walks around at 150, they can fight a one off to see who is the real boss of that style.
So you still don't get the difference between fight weight and walking weight?
He claim he didnt want to beat an old man, yet he brought up old man rigo two division to fight him and still couldn't drop him
1. It was not Loma who brought this fight. Loma was asking for Rigo fight when Loma was 126 and Rigo refused (there's a video where Rigo ducks him). Later, it was Rigo who hired a twitter guy to trash-talk 130 Loma to finally make a fight when Rigo was past his prime and Loma was 130.
2. Rigo didn't get dropped only because he quit when he smelled KO coming.
It seems you dont like pacquiao
BS. I have a lot of respect to Pacquiao and I was backing him in Thurman fight.
Yeah all he could have said I refuse to fight my idol, but he had to say an old man lol.
What a BS. His biggest idol is Tyson, and the second one is RJJ. That's it.
Then why does he closely emulate pacquiao with the side step and in and out, flurry style, he knows he looked up to manny both are southpaws too.
Loma is a converted southpaw, which is not the same as just southpaw. His main hand is in front and it gives own advantages over just southpaw or orthodox stances. Pacquiao is a "normal" southpaw AFAIK.
Side stepping is not smth that was invented by Manny and it has much older roots.
Loma made rigo come up two weight classes, yet loma wont even fight pacman at 140 with pac being smaller than him and going down a weight
Not Loma, but Rigo himself did ask for it when Loma was 130. It wasn't Loma's desire to fight until he got frightened by Twitter trash talking.
Who or what has "papachenko" done in boxing? Train l0m0? :lol1:
Papachenko, 2 times Trainer of the Year, has trained:
1. Loma, P4P #1 whether you like it or not,
2. Usyk, P4P #5,
3. Gvozdyk, light heavyweight #1.
All ratings taken from The Ring magazine.
Spence vs Crawford will have more views because 1. Higher division gets more interest 2. Loma vs Tank is actually "Loma vs another twitter bum", i.e. a mismatch. At the same time Crawford vs Spence is quite competitive.
Also really wonder about GVOZDYK mental after the ill ayes situation with Adonis.
I saw his interviews and it didn't feel that he was actually paying much attention to it. I.e. not giving a ****.
Where should he be? He just fought, went on Kellerman's show a few weeks ago and now is probably hanging with his wife.
Let me know when he turns down this mandatory shot...Commey is getting KTFO.
KTFO you mean Knocking Teofimo Fuсk Out?
Davis is a great talent and it will always be up to him how he decides or who he keeps company with but if he chooses to be great the kid has the skill set and I have seen them all, in 40 years of being in the sport. He’s got many haters due to his troubles but they will be fans to if somehow he matures and pull it all together. I’m rooting for this kid!
He needs to talk less, train more and stop fighting bums. Then we may expect him to be able to become great.
Loma is on the downside. How do I know? Tank said he's ready for Loma. Does anyone think it's because Tank has improved that much? He sees what I see.
Tank saying a lot of BS and it traditionally means nothing.
Yep I have seen Loma do everything you have described. However Nicholas Walters was tough but didn’t have the reflexes and timing to compete. The fighter that will survive the early onslaught must be slick, atheletic powerful and patient. Manny would be a problem. Tank has the athleticism just don’t know if he has the mentality to weather the storm. Teophimo looked interesting until he had his mental collapse out of no where. But one punch power is a critical component to competing with Loma. Because you only get a few opportunities to get Loma off balance.
Manny can, he definitely has everything to do it, except for power.
Tank doesn't - his KO ratio has nothing to do with skills, because he didn't show it against any good opposition. The same with anything else he looks like having - it's easy to look great against bums. And the same for Teo. Both of them are not so different from Walters if we just clear our minds from all the hype they have and leave only what they actually proved.
Davis will expose his hype and leave him face down. Your guy couldn't even beat a bum journeyman with 14 losses now, 12 at the time, in Salido the Uber driver. He was also put on his ass by another bum in Linares. Facts.
Salido was his only second pro first and Salido admitted that Loma almost KTFO him. Salido had zero chance winning over Loma again and this the reason he then ducked him until retirement. Linares got KTFOd by Loma, and after that Linares is done. As done is Walters, Rigo, and a number of others which fought Loma.
Maybe the coach gave each sparring partner a number... and which ever number he called out he was that attacked... with the other 2 jus moving circles till there numbers called... and even that being touch sparring to get cambells reflexs sharper to keep switching the angles and movement for when loma does it...
just my theory btw... i strongly doubt it was literally a 3 vs 1 spar... that would be ridiculous..
Good idea. It sounds like the real plan. Happy to see Campbell trying smth better than "I'll train hard and be at my best".
only canelo risks to lose. every fight loma , crawford and ggg that they hv fought they were the favorite to win. all these cowards unwilling to fight tough fights. freakn canelo going up 2 weight divisions to fight kovalov and these nobodies who cant sell their backyard think they are the best.
Canelo risks to lose because he's weaker. His wins were much less convincing than Crawford's, Loma's or Inoue's. Even more - some of his wins have questionable scorecards. That's why he's no way higher than P4P #3 and I'd place him #4.
