Cotto was winning the fight up until the 6th. He just didn't have the stamina to keep up with the pace Marg was placing him in.
Even with the vaunted Marg chin, Cotto hurt him. And he could win this if he is ok with clinching. So far, Cotto don't like to clinch even if he is in trouble.

I would pay to see a PPV of HW Dawson take on HW Adamek. It would be interesting to see if Dawson is just the better boxer or if Adamek was never a true LHW. The only real loss in Miguel's record is the Manny fight. I'm a Cotto fan but I give it to Manny he destroy him. I guess you do not understand. It is precisely because the fight last 11 rounds that I said that Cotto dominated the mayority of round becuase the 1st 6 rounds where his and he did win one in the later rounds. I beleive it was the 9th or 10th.
I did say that he was getting hit a lot but Margarito was getting hit a whole lot more in those 1st 6-8 rounds. By the 8th round Cotto was still in front and hand landed more jabs and power punches tham Margarito.
True that Cotto got hit more than against any other opponent til that fight but he was still wining the fight until the 8th or 9th round on the score cards. The effect of those punches by Margarito (probably with plaster) caught up with Cotto in the last part if the fight.

The height and reach advantage for Margo was a big diferrence still Miguel dominate the first 9 rounds less maybe 1 or 2. His corner knew that and still he couldn't go no more. I wonder why? hEY I had to get in on this post. First and for most i am a mexican here in Dallas and I do think Margacheato needs to be banned. I was a fan until he got caught or i mean "his trainer got" loading the gloves. I think he should be banned from boxing.
Another note I am the biggest Cotto fan in my cirlce here and the only cotto fan and every last one of my buddies are pac fans. They really don't know crap about boxing they just like that he knocks people out and has something gold around his belt. They don't know all the stipulations that he gives about weight draining champs. So i am going with cotto vs jcc jr because of the simple fact that he has a better track record with top opposition. I like jcc jr too but I don't think he has the fire in him like his Pops.
