Junior middleweight Pawel Wolak (27-1, 17KOs) was very upset when he was informed that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. had withdraw from their scheduled fight on September 11 in Mexico. Chavez, who is going through some family issues in Mexico, is likely going to head straight to a fight with WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto.
Wolak may receive a prize for his trouble. One of the options being discussed for the Cotto vs. Chavez undercard, would see Wolak being matched against unbeaten former Olympian Vanes Martirosyan (28-0, 17KOs). Cotto-Chavez may land in New York's Madison Square Garden. Wolak, a popular fighter among the Polish fans in the New York area, would be smart addition to an MSG undercard.
