some excellent posts here, it seems like whenever I talk about Hagler anywhere else the FIRST thing people bring up is the infamous Leonard fight. It's sad really

It was only when Hagler was a boxer that he didn't show his real strength i think, in the mugabi fight, Hagler's feet and hands were slower than they once were, his upper body fluidity movement was slower but when he began to slug with mugabi he bullied him around the ring.

jermain taylor does NOT give me the impression of a strong middleweight, he couldn't even bully 40 year old hopkins around yet HBO kisses his ass. hagler in my opinion was a stronger harder-hitting fighter than taylor. hell....taylor didn't even look stronger than wright to me.
