I was thinking about it. When he loses to canelo we know hes gonna state it was because of his size but I wonder (you know hes probably gonna fight kell brook for one last paycheck) when he loses that fight is he gonna claim it was because of the weight jump and cut between the canelo fight and the brook one? Seems well within his delusional way of admitting any type of loss was his fault.

Thats my question. Bradley has had a lot of people question his status as a pound for pound fighter. This back to many believing he ducked Khan (although we all do know the promotional aspect of why it didnt happen). Khan was even vocal about punking him out. Then he has a rough fight with an old Casamayor, a gift decision against manny and now the fight tonight. Bradley showed courage, heart, chin, and the ability to put on a great show. He also went life and death with a low ranked fighter. What do you believe this fight did for bradley?

We always hear the phrase, "he was the better man tonight" but no one ever really takes it seriously. My question is what fights do you believe a fighter underperformed and lost a match he probably would win on another night?

Its only February and we had garcia postpone the judah fight because of his rib, or hand, Donaire looking at a Darchinyan rematch, Floyd possibly fighting Devon Alexander, the kell brook / devon alexander fight possibly now defunct. They really expect boxing fans to take one for the team this year so far.

I am making this thread based on a conversation I had with my brother. What exactly is floyd doing in the ring that is overworking his opponents? We didnt get a chance to see it with ortiz but with mosley, dlh( i know he has a history of this), hatton, and in some places marquez each looked like an overworked mule towards the end of the fight despite many of them not having problems with prior fights. Mosley is the most blatant example.

really liked the cut of his fights with "seven nation army" but who here felt that would have been better suited for Margaritos entrance since it can come of as a slow menacing rift.

Really good fight. I was suprised at how much both fighters had left in the tank. Weird how a lot of thinks changed but a lot of things remained the same. Props to Cotto for his fight plan and to margarito for being a tough SOB. The first four rounds were weird. They were utter domination on Cottos part. He would move away, get off first and trade if he needed to, or tie him up on a few occasions. The fifth round seemed to be the most telling to me because it seemed to mimic the first few rounds of their first fight. The difference being that unlike the first fight, Cotto never gave Margarito a chance to impose his will completely on the fight. Whenever Margarito started to show signs of overtaking the fight Cotto would hop on him as opposed to the first fight where cotto was struggling to keep away and despite winning rounds, he was doing it by the skin of his teeth and looked to be barely surviving. I cant really say how this fight effects the whole plaster situation because there were subtle differences. Cotto was struggling to get away form Margarito in the first fight but was parying shots like second nature in this one. He was still getting hit hard by margarito though but he seemed to be able to manage it better(in the first fight he looked like a cornered mouse everytime Margarito boxed him in). Still I was surprised. Pretty good fight.

What incidents in boxing have made you laugh. Was it a brutal ko, or ring nonsense. My favorites are 1) Rahmin vs Maskaev- When Rahman gets rocked and holds on to Maskaevs waist all the way across the ring. 2) Cintron diving through the ropes against williams 3) When Trenton Titsworth kissed Vargas behind the ear which caused vargas to punch him. This followed by lampleys "which prompted Vargas to kick the living **** out of him" made me lol for five minutes. 4) Riddick Bowe kicked by Tillery 5) The allah comments made my lampley during the hamed/barrera fight followed by George Foremans reaction afterwards.

Usually in boxing history, time tends to heal the relationship between a fighter and the audience. Ali was once hated but later applauded. Lewis was disliked for his boring fights but later got the respect he deserved. Will floyd go through similiar metamorphisis or will he be always tagged "The villian".

Listen say what you want about Floyd, if he wants to be perceived as the bad guy, more power too him but please get rid of the damn goons.
