That would be me, but i dont see it happening. Khan has a big size advantage as well as the speed factor. Khan ud
yeah true, it wont take many shots to put mr iron chin down though!
thats what im hopin for anyways
Start it from 1:24, WTF is this? The ending made me chuckle a little
Brits care to enlighten me?
God knows what that is mate, it was probs on australian tv. Probably something to do with sports aid!
No one thinks Margarito is great besides Mexicans. What do you expect from a population of people without any concept of education?
thats racist mate
and he cant be that bad if he TKO'ed Miguel Cotto, who was previously unbeaten
Its like this..
If its a stand up fight between a boxer and a MMA
the MMA guy is getting thumped out cold
If ground game is allowed then its pretty obvious the boxer
is gonna get submitted..
Exactly!
Nice one :)
Boxing has way less luck involved and more skill.
Not true, is no one reading my posts?!
A boxer would win in a boxing match, an MMA fighter would win in an MMA fight.
Boxing has more skill involved in the stand up, but what about jiu-jitsu black belts and world champs? Does that not take skill? The boxer wouldnt be able to handle the ground game for 20 seconds.
Put a big strong, accurate boxer in what is pretty much a street fight ild say the boxer wins maybe 20/100.
Its not "pretty much a streetfight", if you call professional athletes with national wrestling experience and black belts in jiu-jitsu, "street fighters" then you are very ignorant.
Put a big strong, accurate boxer against a jiu-jitsu black belt where the fight is allowed to go to the floor, and im sorry but alot of the time the boxer will be subbed straight away.
For example, Butterbean does terribly in MMA, getting knocked out in very low level fights in England, and slightly past the point with Raymond Daniels who is a kickboxer got submitted in his current only MMA fight. Being a kickboxer, he would have an advantage over a boxer going into a fight because he would know how to block kicks and other strikes that arent involved in boxing.
If Mayweather went in and beat 3 top MMA guys at his weight, for example Urijah Faber etc then id be more open to what boxing purists are saying, but for now its not a valid argument.
MMA artists usually suck at most things and actually call themselves athletes. If they were so good at fighting they would be the best boxers and be making millions.
Shut up the best MMA fighters are NCAA national wrestling champs, ADCC grappling champs or BBJ blackbelts and world champs.
If thats sucking at stuff then whats being good at it?
Put a boxer in with any of the wrestling or jiu-jitsu guys they wouldnt have a single chance, they wouldnt know where to go, what to do, how to defend or attack.
Atleast MMA fighters know basic boxing.
More diversity in boxing not just some rednecks who want to fell good about themselves creating a new sport
This is such a stupid thread.
Its like comparing greco-roman to boxing, they are completely different sports.
How can you say theres more diversity, yeah theres different styles of boxers but in MMA there is strikers that use muay thai, kickboxing etc, wrestlers who use greco or folk style, and BJJ/jiu-jitsu/judo world champs who are better on the floor. The best fighters are good at all three of these different parts and thats what makes them good.
The thing is, an MMA fighter, unless he was previously a high-level pro boxer would get hammered in a boxing match. And a boxer, no matter who it was, Floyd, Manny, anyone, would get battered in an MMA fight due to the fighters wrestling and submissions.
There is no point in this argument.
In Boxing defense is not often given the credit it deserves and Floyd's defense is the best ever...IMO
People will not truly understand why he is considered so highly by his fans and even some critic's until he is really gone from the sport.
What about Whitaker?
khan Vs Prescott should be the fight that happens next!! Khan is putting it out there that he wonts to take tuff fights...Well hello you get knocked down you best get up again..He shouldnt side step at all, Thats not the way it should be. He should have gone straight to a rematch and took the fella on again..It sucks big time..BARREA will lose to Khan because of the styles it so easy to see!! Khan will use his reach and dance all night long..I.M.O.:boxing::boxing:
You think he'll last all night against Barrera when he got stunned by a jab in about 10 seconds in the Prescott fight?
