Because Degale is just the better professional. Groves almost got knocked out against that guy who's name I can't remember before he got the poor stoppage.
I think Degale since he turned professional has advanced his game to a level way beyond Groves.
Khan is middle eastern
Pakistan is part of Asia....
The Middle East is also... part of Asia.
Therefore he is of Asian descent, but really he's british...
Floyd beats them all-fantasyFACT!
I believe the same thing... but as long as they are fantasy fights then it isn't a fact.
Floyd hasn't faced even close to the best fighters at 147. Manny has fought everyone at 147 apart from Floyd.
Probably the shakiest I've ever seen Mosley's legs. That might have been worse than the Forrest KD.
Didn't even seem like a big punch, actually the replay shows Mosley didn't see it coming at all.
Well it's not natural weight gain is it?
Pacquiao made the decision to move up in weight an put on muscle, its easy to put on 30 pounds of muscle over 3 years if you train properly. I think the issue isn't the weight gain, I mean David Haye put on 30 pounds of muscle going up to heavyweight but you don't see anyone raving about that.
The issue most people seem to have is that Pacquiao has retained his speed and power as he's moved up.
Why is there a picture of Edison Miranda under Jermain Taylor?
Obviously not written up by a boxing fan... but it's a good list, only recent (apart from Hagler and he wasn't that long ago) boxers in there though.
Erdei is a good fighter not sure whether Cleverly will win, he's been training to fight a completely different type of fighter.
but in terms of a fight it's even better than Cleverly-Braehmer
Pics?
If its broken then 6 weeks shouldn't be much more. I broke my rib 5 weeks ago (drunk accident jumped out a window at Uni) and there's no pain any more and it should be fully healed within 6 weeks (I'm told)
First time I've seen Ward fight on the outside for the majority of a fight.
Was beautiful, now we'll see Froch-Johnson and see how Froch copes with Johnsons insdie game. If he does well then Froch-Ward will be very interesting since Froch is excellent on the outside.
Mares-Agbeko winner (if the fight gets rescheduled)
I'd like to see that fight before Gamboa.
That way we get:
Mares v Agbeko
Donaire v winner of Mares - Agbeko
Gamboa v (I assume he'll fight somone in the interim)
and then Gamboa v Donaire
Four good fights (if the negotiations go well but you know boxing we'll prob have to wait a ridiculous amount of time before one of these comes off)
2-1 Ward.
Abraham looks good, better than expected. You have to wonder, Abraham has never been this active this early. Interesting to see if it'll catch up with him in the later rounds
Abraham has gone back to being Abraham. He looks completely different to the fighter he was in the opening 3 rounds.
He has no stamina, and my good his offense completely switches off when he goes backwards.
Chavez is ****, Martinez is a beast. I'd love to see Martinez fight Pac or Mayweather but I see the size difference as too much for both fighters and Martinez is almost or as skilled as both fighters. I see it like I see Martinez v Ward or Dawson. Two great fighters and fights I'd love to see fight but they're fights I can't see Martinez winning because the size is the defining factor when the skills are similar.
The problem is outside of Marquez, Ortiz, Bradley/Khan (both who I think need to be given more time before stepping in the ring with either Floyd or Manny) there is no one at 140/147 and I think 154 and 160 is a bit big for Manny and Floyd because lets be honest. Margarito at 154 was not the Margarito he was at 147 against Cotto.
what happened in the first two fight is, pac knocked down marquez, then JMM outboxed pac
Certainly in the first fight, but think of it this way Pacquiao had to win only two rounds to earn a draw after that first round.
The second fight was much much closer, I had the knockdown as the difference.
Agreed, although I would still love to see Sturm against either of them.
Sturm has a great jab and presents a different challenge to pretty much anyone else in the division.
Vitali can't fight on the inside, that said.
As soon as he gets himself into reasonable shape I see him posing big problems for either Klitschko. That's if he gets off his ass and gets into shape though.
I don't think it's that, Personally I think Pacquiao is open to the right straight. Not as open as he used to be like the first Marquez fight as he obviously can defend it better now but if you watch the fights against Marquez I and II and Clottey whenever he was hit it was the right hand.
Cotto is a converted southpaw (southpaw that fights from an orthadox stance) which is why his jab is so powerful and his right hand isn't so he couldn't take advantage of that. Margarito doesn't have a great straight right and Clottey can't do both offence and defence at the same time. Mayweather would trouble Pacquiao with the right hand all night long
However, I also think Mayweathers defence is more open to southpaws (Judah uses the same defence but since he's a southpaw Orthadox fighters can get around it) it's a double edged sword.
If your from Italy, look at Jake La Motta fights, duh.
Lamotta is exactly the type of fighter he wasn't describing, not a particularly hard puncher (though he fights like one) average hand speed and but incredible heart, stamina and determination.
I know but thats the way I fight, I have asthma and I cant go for too long of bouts untill I build my self up a bit more. What I lack in stamina, I make up in speed and a hard punch
Shannon Briggs has asthma and he managed to make a good career for himself. Fast hands bit punch, not much defence and his stamina let him down.
Mosley clearly wasn't at his best, if Floyd had fought Mosley after he beat Oscar the first time then yeah I'd say Floyd beat him at his best.
I'm not saying Floyd ducked Mosley at the time since they were different weight classes but Floyd didn't fight the best version of Mosley.
