Andre Berto. His cancellation of the fight with Mosley was legit IMO (anyone who says going to Help Haiti IMMEDIATELY after their tragedy is ducking is a *****) while Haye dicktucking the K Brothers is PATHETIC. BUT Berto needs to fight top comp soon. His status as a top contender is starting to wear thin.
What about his asking for 50/50 after Mosley was just in the biggest PPV of the year??That was a clear duck buddy,Berto is a lame, what about Cintron calling him a Puzzy and he is still not fighting him??LOL..
After Khan vs Maidana im of the opinion that Maidana beats em both
Khan Maidana showed me you can see Maidana's punches coming..Bradley would move on angles and land on Maidana at will..It would be a good fight, but remember Maidana's handles did not let Miadana mix it up with Bradley and it's because styles make fights..
He might knock out Alexander, since Alexander isn't exactly going to outslick anybody and would exchange stupidly. Bradley would mess Maidana up.
My thoughts exactly...
Maidana rapes both anally.
Alexander would be easier cuz' he sucks. Timmeh would do a little better cuz' at least he knows how to run away.
Either way, the end result would be anal rape.
This post is pretty gay,not to mention you did not elaborate on why you believe a less skilled fighter would beat a tough skilled fighter in Bradley..IMO Maidana beats Devon..
Quick question:Do you even like boxing or does the fight have to have the caveman style for you to like them..
I see all you guys are delusional,Bradley is too skilled for Maidana..How has Bradley been shown to have a week chin??Dude went down from one of the cleanest shots you can land on another fighter,he got up never looked hurt had his mind enough to take a knee..Then went forward to kick Holt's ass for the rest of the fight,if ya ask me he showed his chin and his metal..I say Maidana beats Devon he moves like a robot, not good enough movement to beat Maidana imo..
Maidana is way too limited to beat Alexander. Alexander/Maidana would probably look a lot like Urango/Alexander. Alexander struggled with Kotelnik because of movement and ring generalship. Maidana is a straight forward fighter and would get blistered by shots he never seen coming and more than likely stopped.
I doubt Devon stops Maidana if Maidana took Khans blazing fast punches, let's not forget Urango was doing very well before he got caught with that uppercut..Maidana is better then Urango and Devon moves straight back he does not have good movement imo..
Devon aint beating Maidana - no chance!
Bradley i dont think will either but theres alot to like with Tim, i wouldnt make Maidana much of a favourite
I agree Maidana would beat Devon imo,Bradley just has too many tools imo..
Cuz' Bradley can't punch, is easy to hit and Maidana is too much man for him. Of course Maidana beats Devon cuz' Devon sucks.
To answer your question, I prefer the caveman style.
But I do like boxing, JMM is my favorite fighter.
I like both styles, but I just can't see Maidana beating Bradley at all..Bradley would make it look like Abregu all over again..You can see Maidana's punches coming,I can't see Maidana winning this fight based on styles..
its NSB, people on here are retarded.
and did you not know? anyone even remotely buzzed = bad chin? :nonono:
but as i see the fights;
i see Bradley taking a hard fought win, having to pull out all the tricks in the book to take that W (by UD).
as for Alexander,
the guy is right in front of you to be hit, and whenever he pulls back, i see Maidana's right hands going in cleanly.
Maidana will do what Urango could not and makes him fold.
just my 2 cents
Great post,I totally agree green K sent..
All good fights AA, Froch and pac had alot of adversity to deal wit in those wins lol and of course douglas with his epic win over tyson had to be here too
Tyson was thought of as a guy who could dish it out but could'int take it..In that fight Tyson showed he was a true fighter imo..
Just watch everything, the ring life and the Face off..Thing to notice in the face off is Devon don't really talk much..He seems to need Kevin to do the talking and the motivating as well..Bradley(as he said him self does not need anybody to motivate him..This was a great watch and gave me even more confidence that Bradley will come out on top,he is such a dog..
Side note:You can tell Timmy has great respect for boxing,he was being honest when ask who has more punching Power/chin how many fighters you know say that??Timmy is a true Warrior..
Devon didn't look too relaxed in the Kotelnik fight. He was jittery and jumping all over the place and, yup, walking into leather all night.
I don't think anyone seriously believes Bradley will "destroy" Devon, more likely just exploit his weaknesses and gut him out to a decision. The Kotelnik fight was more than just an off night, IMO. Alexander showed massive flaws in that fight and an inability to react positively or intelligently after Kotelnik started getting the better of him. Fights like this are more telling than a one round blowout like Khan Prescott are, which can happen to anybody.
Holt isn't a great fighter, but he has the advantage of an equaliser in his power, and the fact that Bradley was able to get up off the canvas twice to gut out a unanimous decision should be seen more as a plus than a minus. Also, like you said, Holt is a hot and cold fighter.
Silliness. That fight was fought in good old Blighty. In reality it was a UD, and anyone who saw the fight would know this.
I can't speak for anyone that thinks Tim will KO Devon, and honestly haven't read any posts seriously promoting the idea. Most agree it'll be a UD victory for Tim if he wins.
Devon's got power though, I'll give him that. The Urango stoppage was impressive but it's pretty much his only clean stoppage against a top level opponent to date. If he can get through to Bradley he can hurt him and possibly stop him. But looking at the outcome of this fight purely on the basis of who's stopped who is simplistic and a bit silly. Tim isn't known as a KO puncher. He outworks people to decisions, that's his game.
Cool. May the best man win.
Great break down brother...
1. Devon doesn't have any timing. He just throws his grunting jab out there hoping to keep fighters off balance. Won't work on Bradley.
2. The Kotelnik fight was not an off night. That's how Alexander ALWAYS fights. Kotelnik was just the first fighter capable of doing anything about it.
3. He's not half as skilled as Bradley, who can literally do anything in the ring stylewise, and I doubt he has that much a speed advantage. His size won't matter at all.
4. Bradley was not almost knocked out by Kendall Holt. He was knocked down, got up, and proceeded to beat his ass for twelve rounds. No one thought Holt won that fight, the f*** you talking about?
5. Alexander has shown no ability to adjust, and unless he developed that ability since the Kotelnik fight he is in for a long, hard night against Tim Bradley.
...Guaranteed.
You could not have schooled this guy/thread any better this thread is done..
Current WBC and former IBF light-welterweight champion Alexander, 23, (21-0 13KOs) takes on fellow American and WBO light-welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0 11KOs) in an eagerly-awaited clash in Pontiac, Michigan on January 29.
Khan (24-1 17KOs) - fresh from victory over Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas in the defence of his WBA light-welterweight title - has been quick to voice his belief that he is the best in a highly competitive division.
Alexander clearly doesn't agree and disputes whether the Bolton superstar would want to fight either him or Bradley, with unbeaten Irishman Paul McCloskey being touted as the 24-year-old's next opponent.
"Khan is an OK fighter, but he's no big deal," said Alexander. "People are making a big hype about him but I don't know what all the hype is about.
"He has a little power behind him but people think he is more than what I think he is.
"The winner of Alexander v Bradley doesn't have to go after Amir Khan. The winner of this fight is going to be No 1 in the division. (Juan Manuel) Marquez is a bigger fight than Khan so it's about chasing him. Khan is not the cash cow at 140lbs.
"The question is, will Khan take the fight? That's the problem. I think he's being pampered. You need to ask Khan and his people."
Meanwhile, Bradley wants the trio to decide in the ring who the number one is by fighting each other in the coming months.
"Nobody knows who the number one is until we get into the ring. That's what makes it interesting," said Bradley.
"The winner of Bradley v Alexander will definitely have to fight Khan. If they don't do it, then the media should put pressure on them because I think that's the way it should go - we should all get a shot at each other.
"Styles make fights and on any given night you might be in there with the wrong style and get beat so we should do a round robin.
"I should get a shot at Amir; Devon should get a shot at Amir. He should get a shot at Maidana and I should get a shot at Maidana. It's like back in the old days with Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler - they all went at it a couple of times.
"Let's do that - the best fighting the best. That's what boxing needs to bring in back."
People want to act like they don't know about Timmy B,he is a true warrior..I use to laugh when people would say Bradley was ducking Devon,it was clear that Bradley wanted Devon to make a name for himself so that this fight would be bigger then both of umm..Timmy B is a throw back and ya gotta love this kinda thinking..Timmy B vs Khan gonna happen mid summer or early fall..
I attended the Holt vs Bradley fight, and alot of the Canada fans booed the decision, and I actually read a few reports that felt Kendall nicked it with the knockdows, aswell as his late rally.
What's the probelm, because Tim was in a close were he nearly got his head knocked off? Tim is a good fighter, but is seriouly overrated.
Alot of Tim's fans aint gonna be happy come the 29th.
You must have been drunk lol..Holt was way out of that fight, the only thing he could hang his hat on was the konckdowns..Devon is a good fighter but imho Timmy B is just on another level..TBH a level that him and King Khan stand alone in,you'll see come the 29th..
Soooooo, how will U feel if & when he beats Bradley??Forget about now, what's gonna happen after the fact??
Just fine I'm not the one taking the hits..But I'll tell ya this Devon's gonna have to bring something else to the table and truth be told he is yet to do that..But if he win's I already said it much props to him I would be really impressed..Oh as long as it is no Kottie B.S.
I agree with everything except Bradley beung a mean guy
Dudes a sweetheart:cool2:
So is Pac until he takes out his teeth and turns into the Tazmaining devil..
I'll give Alexander mad props, trust.
IMO If Devon beats Bradley he is the num 1 fighter at 140lb,but he has to fight Khan as well as Bradley would to be the Champ..BTW do you care to place a bet??500K PM me if interested..
Previously I picked Alexander in this based on what I have seen from him in his last few fights and the fact that Bradley has not really seen a fast handed Southpaw like Mr Alexander yet but I didnt realize how early in his career Alexander still is.
Alexander has loads of talent, a very complete fighter for such a young guy but he has a very shallow pool of experience at the higher levels and Bradley is by far the more experienced fighter against a much higher quality of opposition. I still think Alexander's unique skills and southpaw stance could get him the W but I wouldn't put money on it?
Taking a look at their past fights what leads you to believe either guy has an advantage?
Devon has not really shown growth,he has loads of talent like ya said..But talent alone does not win fights on the elite level, adjustments and ring I.Q. does Bradley has shown to have both and some very good will and determination..This is why I see Bradley winning this fight,I also think the holes in Devon's game are big and I don't think he can correct umm in one fight..If he does he will have earned my respect and tbh deserves to be the num 1 fighter at the weight but I really don't see that happening..
Yeah,I figured that was what U were gonna come with.I see something special in everyone of the elite fighters at 140.Khan is the biggest, fast & has good power, but that chin can be checked cold like.Bradley is fast but chinny,(not to the extent of Khan) & has shown good power in combination.Alexander is fast, has good power but was highly inaccurate against Kotelnik.Maidana has the power, the heart, the stamina, but his skills are lacking.Kotelnik has a new trainer & is fighting like a beast right now.
I'm trying to figure out just why U would have Khan as special & not the others who have put in work & was never thoroughly dominated or outclassed like U claim. The fight between Kotelnik & Alexander was close & could have gone either way.But U seem to fit the majority of fight fans who see 1 bad night as a fighter being garbage.
Ohh yeah, btw a win over Bradley is better than any win on Khan's resume, just to be blunt.
IMO the 140lb Div is hot with good fighters, but special I only see four and I'm being kind to Devon with this..Khan and Bradley have proven to be special fighters with their fine win's,not just win's but domination over other top fighters..Devon did not dominate Urango,Urango was in that fight before the being stopped..But Devon is undefeated so for that he can be put in this list..Maidana is special because he brings that fire and heart and will to the table like no other 140lb does imo..He is a fun exciting fighter to watch even tho he lacks skill,he can will himself into a fight and make it a dog fight..
Kottie,Peterson,Judah,Mabuza and Matt's are good fighters but I would not put them with the four fighters at the top of the Div..I agree Khan is not the only special fighter at the weight but all these guy's are not special and most would lose to Khan tbh..Devon has to prove how special he is right now with this fight,I'm not a total believer just yet..
imma try to make it a great night..cook up some wings, get me some good midgrade and a cold 6 pack, kick my feet up and enjoys
I'm doing Gentleman's Jack and some steak..
