My friend, who is not a boxing fan, wanted to know more about Braddock from 'Cinderella Man', so we looked up his recored on boxrec. I've never even seen the movie, but what intrigued me is that he had 3 no contests against 1 guy named Francis. Anyone know about this? I would like to know how you have 3 NCs against one opponent.

I just watched Mikkel Kessler destroy Eric Lucas this weekend. I've never seen Kessler fight before, but I thought that his hard straight punches looked like they might be very effective vs the slapping haymakers thrown by Calzaghe or Lacy. He stands a little too straight up (like most euros do) though, so his chin might get checked, but he looked like the real deal to me. I was pretty impressed. Anybody know much about him?

I weigh about 150 now, after seeing him vs Baldomir, I think I could quit drinking beer and get to 147. With that chin and that attitude Zab had better quit thinking about Mayweather and watch out for all the toughman contestants who would give him a good fight. He's ready for LT's old show on Fox. I'll puke if any Judah fight is ever PPV again. Oh, and props to the judges who didn't rob Baldomir of an undeniable victory.

Who actually buys these heavyweight PPVs? And now that the lighter (and much better) guys are going PPV too will there be any more boxing left to see for the fan on a budget? Showtime and HBO rarely show undercards anymore and the fights they show are stuff like tonight's fiasco. Mayweather moving up to welterweight to fight an aged junior welterweight. What's next? Will the Superbowl, the World Series, the NBA finals be PPV someday since there are plenty of fools who will buy it? Even ESPN who charges a fortune for their cable package is trying to bill their fights PPV.
