The censorship is out of hand. Humorously, I noticed one word I refuse to type is no longer being censored.
I half thought about creating a boxing forum (I run a horror movie forum) of my own but not sure if it'd get enough interest with no kind of backing whatsoever.
Wait wait wait wait…..
you run a horror movie forum?????
The first one was closer than the 2nd one. The 2nd one Usyk did just enough in most of the rounds to win clean.
1st go around was the best one anyways.
I don’t see a need for a 3rd go around.
That fight still has legs. Can still be sold. Wilder was, fact, suffering from arm injuries in his two losses to Parker and Zhang, though, he's massively getting on now, and Joshua is taking too much stick for losing to Dubois, Dubois is a very good boxer who is in his prime. And whoever won gets a final crack at a belt in my view, so it sells and has merit.
I think if they fought all those years back, Wilder wins by KO, mid-fight, now, I have no idea. If Wilder starts too cautously, Joshua could land on him and catch him cold, but if it turns into a fire-fight a few rounds in, I think Wilder will score the knockout blow. Wilder has more resistance. His knockout to Zhang was a bit of a freak thing and quite frankly poor refereeing and an illegal blow from behind, but Wilder lost his focus and was talking to ref instead of being alert. Dubois is on a massive tear it’s one of the best runs at heavyweight I’ve seen in a long time.
Yep and I have unending respect for guys like that. Dude probably knows he will die young and be brain dead within a decade, but he will be beloved til the end of his days and has set his family up for life. There's lots of honor in the path he chose for himself, to entertain others at the cost of his own health. A true warrior from a bygone era
I hope he’s compensated well for all he’s done.
I haven’t really followed his career closely, but one look at his resume tells me all I need to know.
And if tonight was any indication of how his career was, well, he’s a dying breed for sure.
My God that ring girl with the wild red hair is hhhooooooooooooootttt.
I’m physically attracted to 99% of women and it’s a big problem.
Like, it consumes me.
He was a pretty good offensive fighter, with snappier hand speed than his father. He never improved on his defense however.
Oh! His defense was absolutely horrible!
As weight drained as he was against Canelo, it might have been the most one sided beat down I have ever seen I think Canelo was taking it easy on him cuz he just wanted the fans to get their moneys worth.
But from my memory, Canelo couldn’t miss.
Jake Paul doesn't carry all that extra weight very well. I think Tyson may actually have a chance if he can get past the first two rounds.
If Tyson comes in at the absolute best shape he could possibly be in, he stands a halfway decent chance.
The experience alone gives Tyson a chance and I’ll be rooting hard for him.
And I question how strong Jake really is cuz he seems to outsize all of his opponents.
58 yrs old is still 58 yrs old however.
Well, beating up smaller dudes isn’t exactly cool.
Every single one of his bouts has an asterisk next to it.
And a lot of kids thinks he’s the face of boxing like he’s the P4P great, and that has to change.
After this, I think Tyson stands a solid chance at beating him.
I liked the 5 vs 5 between Matchroom vs Queensbury.
That actually had some pretty competitive and interesting match ups, minus the Wilder Zhang.
If Saudi Arabia has disposable money to throw at it and host a huge tournament style structure, I’d be down for it. Get more promoters involved. More boxers.
Make it a new tradition like a playoffs structure or something. Invite all major promotional outfits. Maybe have like a popular vote. Kind of like an All Star structure vote from the boxing fans.
Actually get fans involved in it.
All the key promotional outfits from all of boxing throw their hats in. You get the best boxers from the best promotions. Throw it all onto a show.
Almost like a Golden Gloves styled tournament. All weight classes. Females too.
I’m talking huge.
Maybe host a biannual thing cuz it’ll be so much.
Then the boxers and promoters who win can claim they have the best boxers in their weight class. Keep track of which promotion has the most wins and whatnot.
Give out awards.
The point is boxing has to evolve at some point. It’s too stagnant with where it is.
Something tells me we're all about to have some laughs...
I hope so. I mean Jake seems to take the sport at least somewhat serious, but he’s gotta get humbled.
They were calling for Nicolson to go for the KO.
I looked up her amateur record. Out of 107 amateur wins, 4 KOs.
And yeah I know I know. Amateurs have headgear and everything, but 4 stoppage wins out of 107 wins.
I don’t think she pop in those hands.
Just when I thought I couldn't cringe any harder Jake Paul walks out wearing a modified gimp mask
If he loses, he’ll pull a Wilder and blame it on the suit being too heavy and it drained his energy.
In his previous pro boxing fight in 2015 he weighed in at 167 and got stopped by a 6-1 fighter who weighed in at 161.
He has 5 wins in bare knuckle but these were the records of his 5 opponents:
4-5
0-0
0-0
1-0
2-0
He's got 11 KOs in 22 MMA fights.
He's a basic ass brawler and he's way, way smaller than Paul.
With this kid Jake Paul, there’s always a hidden angle or spin that puts it in his favor.
The only semi legit guy, was Tommy Fury and we all see what happened there.
But he’s great with the marketing he does it well. You gotta have marketing with this stuff!
