Athletes in all sports play through injuries all the time. It's pretty much an accepted fact, particularly with 2 guys in their late 30's in a violent sport like boxing. Anyone crying that they wouldn't of bought the fight had they known in advance is full of **** or just feeling salty because they were drinking a bit too much of the Pac Kool-Aid. I could understand feeling jobbed a bit if he tweaked his shoulder in round 1 and the fight was called, but they got a 12 round fight in which he even won a couple rounds. Paying a $100 bucks to watch a fight does not entitle you to having your guy win or else you get a refund.
I have not seen as big a group of sore losers as Manny and his fans, since Fox News right after the last presidential election.
A little I guess. I think the stoppage was a little weak at the time but Cintron would've just gotten beaten worse over the rounds.
Stoppage seemed right to me, while Cintron landed some hits in the 5th, his legs looked shot and his punches seemed mostly to be wild flailing that opened himself up, You could see him rapidly running out of gas as he made his last ditch effort. When the fight was called he looked 100% mentally and physically finished. If the fight wasn't stopped at that moment, Canelo just comes in and uses him as a defenseless punching bag.
He will, he'll retire. He wants no part of boxing, he wants to gloat about his undefeated record. He's a coward in the end, he hits and run and thats what he's best at doing. He's finished.
Go back to watching Rocky and STFU.
My Tivo recording cut off the last few rounds  Doesn't sound like I missed much though. I'll just have to remember to pad future recordings in case ESPN runs late again.
I don't begrudge a fighter for quitting. But if if they are going to quit they need to be a man about it and own up to their decision. Abdulev motioned to the ref in plain view of everyone that he was done, He didn't start copping a pissy attitude with the ref or try pass the buck onto his corner.
Tyson is past being done and after getting his arse handed to him by a nobody like McBride, I don't think he has a chance against anybody.
How much more does the guy need to do, to prove he is washed up?
Does he have to end up flat on on his back and dazed and trembling in a puddle of his own urine, looking up at a Tonya Harding who just knocked him the fuck out, on Celebrity Boxing III, before it finally starts to sink in.
