Am I the only one that felt bad for Cintron?

I don't get all this hate Cintron is getting right now. Why are people calling him a ***** quitter when he never quit? Dude was rocked hard in the 4th round, but ultimately got up and kept on fighting. Then was nearly on the floor at end of the round, but he didn't quit on his stool like so many other fighters would have. Then Cintron went on to have his best round in the 5th giving it all he had before getting stopped at the end. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, a small weird wobble while getting up after the first knock down the first time proves he's a quitting *****. It makes zero sense.

BS Stoppage. Cintron always has a punchers chance. I've seen him get beaten up all fight before to stop a another fighter late. Unlikely in this situation but it's boxing and you have to let that play out. Canelo was supposed to win. He would have won anyway in my opinion but the ref knew that it HAD to happen.

That looked freaky as hell after the fourth round ended. Cintrón hanging on to the ropes and not walking back to his corner was scary. He looked completely out of it. ya, i felt bad for the dude

A little I guess. I think the stoppage was a little weak at the time but Cintron would've just gotten beaten worse over the rounds. Stoppage seemed right to me, while Cintron landed some hits in the 5th, his legs looked shot and his punches seemed mostly to be wild flailing that opened himself up, You could see him rapidly running out of gas as he made his last ditch effort. When the fight was called he looked 100% mentally and physically finished. If the fight wasn't stopped at that moment, Canelo just comes in and uses him as a defenseless punching bag.

No not really he got paid. He has always had a hard time with the mental aspect of fighting but now on top of that he's shot and can't pull the trigger. He needs to hang em up!

Could people not see that he wanted to quit after the first knockdown? He was acting more hurt then he was. He was pretty hurt at the end of the rd though. Yeah he was ducking his head and leaning to the right like the Marg fights. The thing with Cintron is he has a good chin so his mental flaws really show. He had that look on his face against Margarito and Feliciano.

I can't feel sorry for Cintron after he tried to steal that Williams fight. Think about what that gift draw with Martinez did for his career too.

the fight went exactly as expected. nothing bad to feel about imo. he was getting stopped anyway. cintron served his purpose of giving canelo another W on his record.

Very sad to say the least. He looks like he mentally checked out a long time ago and is just coming to collect his check and go home.

Since falling out of that ring, he has been a COMPLETELY different fighter. I feel bad for the guy, too.

Itoo felt bad for im although he's an idiot. You do not wait until after your dropped & hurt to start letting the power go. You do that first.

I respect him for coming out all guns blazing in the 5th round after being beaten down twice in the 4th barely knowing where he was. A couple of those shots connected hard on Canelo. I don't think the ref should have stopped it exactly when he did either.

He knew this was whats was gonna happen. He did it for money and now he can retire happy

Probably the end of his career. He put up a good fight in that fifth round after it looked like he was ready to quit in the fourth. Sort of redemptive in a way for the way he crumpled in the Margarito fights.

Not even a little. that's what he signed up for. He gotta good payday, He should retire now. True but he showed balls going into Mexico for the fight not many others would just ask Vanes.
