Paquiao can be busier, but I think Mayweather is going to be landing more and cleaner shots. It's going to be interesting to see how they deal with each others angles.
It was a close fight. It was clear that Peterson ended strong in the last 3 rounds. It was anyone's game. You can prefer the defensive style of Peterson, where you move around and try to wear out your opponent, or the offensive style of García where you throw and hit air but also some skin. I think Peterson moved too much and threw too little in the first half of the fight, and García was throwing and getting points, some of the middle rounds were the same.
Peterson waited too much. That's it!
I'm not a boxing or an MMA hardcore fan. I like combat sports and have learned to appreciate the arts. UFC is definitely pulling better cards and are developing "superstars" better than everyone in boxing. I know the UFC has more control over quality fighters but anyways their matchmaking is way better...plus you get to see more fights than a televised boxing card.
Cotto has a 3 fight contract. Geale is a legitimate opponent for a title defense (probably his only defense). If he gets past Geale, a big fight with Canelo at a lower weight might happen, then vacate and a farewell fight.
Not such a bad plan.
