Yeah he’s had some losses since then but he is still a world class fighter and was a top p4p fighter not long ago.
Apart from Ward, he's only lost to Alvarez. He dominated their rematch, after many said he's been done. Yarde might have his moments, but Kovalev will stop him in a similar fashion as Cleverly. Fighting nobodies doesn't help him here.
Bit early for this fight, let them both build up a bit more and in a year or 2 this fight will be massive
I think the time would be right for Joshua, but Parker hasn't even fought a few guys from the 2nd row. They're both still young, would be a good one in 2017.
Advantages of Golovkin
- Fears nobody since birth
- Won all his fights by stoppage since 2008 (23 KO's in a row)
- has very strong sparring partners (Kovalev, Cruiserweights & Heavyweights)
- got chin made of iron
- etc. pp.
Hope he wins.
Imagine having to watch your team play in a stadium you got KTFO in in front of 20 plus thousand people?
Bellew has balls of steel. Makubu's record suggests if he wins it most probably is a stoppage and it could be a big stoppage.
I don't dislike Bellew, but i am rooting for Makabu. Need new blood in the division... anyway, that sounds horrible & is a really possibility. I'd probably never go there again. And no doubt, Bellew is ducking nobody.
I like him, but damn... get in shape already! He'll never look like Cunningham, but atleast lose this baby fat! And taking so many punches against a 9-9 journeyman, who's looking like a cruiserweight... and 40yrs old, is definitely not 'shining'.
Dude almost got completely put to sleep in the second then he goes into hugfest mode the remainder of the bout. His face was all kinds of punched up after the bout too. Nonstop jabs next time to keep Ward from hugging and it's a wrap.
What? He got up quickly, didn't have no jelly legs at all. I'd say Boone hurt him more than that. And if the face is an indicator, i'd say Bradley clearly beat Provodnikov.
That being said, Kovalev won the fight IMO.
I used to like jennings but he's been acting like hes gods gift ever since that wlad fight. not sure why winning a whopping couple rounds over an aging champion would give you an instant ego
Same here, BUT he acted like this prior to Wlad. He was saying, he's seen flaws in Klitschko from the Brewster fight, he still sees them, and will expose them. I politely asked him after the fight, what these were; No response.
He's just like all others, on a high horse & thats it. 2 of his 3 biggest accomplishments were losses. (i refuse to call Perez fight a win)
Even though Ortiz tested negative, i feel he's a good guy, caring for his fans. I still like Jennings, but im rooting for Ortiz at this one.
Oh nothing has changed there.
If Murata fights GGG next Murata may kill GGG in the ring. GGG is a wuss who can't box and cries after he loses.
:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:
Another world title for the most powerful nation in pro boxing - the mighty UK!
How many is that now ... 11, 12 ... 13? We have so many now I've actually lost count!
Bellew can be a real force at cruiserweight. Now that he isn't draining himself to make 175, the power he showed as an amateur at HW has returned.
The Bomber will be a test for anybody in the division, including Usyk.
Good joke. Lebedev or Briedis might just crush him.
If financials are fine... :lol1: :lol1:
Burn this entire f*cking sport to the ground.
Please, get a good coach, some good training & risk your health & career for chump change, would ya? Save our sport!
Easy work for Breidis, these guys should unify the division rather than fighting unknown contenders, a fight Okolie would be interesting
Bredis is gonna slaughter this jai Courtney bum
Well, about that...
I mentioned he was going to get schooled and Kov gets schooled even harder on the second fight.
Kovalev didn't get schooled at all. Ward landed less clean hits than Chilemba did. Kovalev just thought he can win the UD aswell, of course he'll go for the knockout now. What can Ward do differently? Nothing, run away once again.
What happened to Bradley? :lol1:
I guess after seeing him get put on HanzGruber Street by a guy with 9 stoppages, you aren't very confident in him going in against Brook.
Yeah, its not like Bradley fought 12 rounds with Provodnikov & 24 rounds with Pacquiao...
Other than a small little clan of Millennial internet nerds who think they are "hardcore" boxing fans...
Nobody would pay for or care to see Lara fight period - let alone to see that running **** show that Lara put on last time. Lara is lucky he's in the "Runner's Era" of Boxing - back in the Golden Age - Lara's style wouldn't win him ****.
Pretty sure he still did better than Cotto, no matter if you like to see him more.
