hmm...
Zab's sneaky/mean left uppercut and when Whitaker used to go "ghost" mode in front of his opponent and have them swinging at air for a couple of seconds.
Think Concepcion is struggling with the weight
That definitely looks like a possibility.
But the bigger problem for him is that he hasn't looked confident his last few outings and might've even regressed skill-wise.
Hope he does better than expected for the fight tho.
Something you guys need to understand is that there are guys who can box and guys who can just fight.
Nick Diaz can fight.
His boxing is very awkward and unorthodox but he knows how to fight. When he's in the ring, it's like a fish in water.
I have worked with guys who look great on the heavy bag, speed bag, double end bag, mitts...etc
Yet when they get in the ring they panic. Nick Diaz might not be the prettiest boxer but he just knows how to move, connect with short accurate punches and is a fighter and that's something you can't teach, it just comes natural to some.
True indeed. Like others have said, the Diaz Bros. durability and stamina is what makes their stand up truly effective.
Frankie Edgar also gets my vote for an MMA fighter who mixes Boxing and MMA well.
think so? I always considered bradley having a pretty good chin, but he's in such good shape he can get himself off the canvas...like that knockdown against Holt, man, that should have knocked out any man. I was shocked he got up. And to go on to win nonetheless.
I was even more impressed that Bradley was smart enough and had the presence of mind to take a knee within the 10-count after he got up. He could've done what everyone else does and played macho while standing on shaky legs.
I think Bradley has the skills to go the distance and have his moments. My guess is that there will be another important battle going on inside his head. During the fight he'll have to balance between him doing the right thing at every moment vs. doing something reckless to be exciting for the fans. All that while Manny is in front of him darting in and out.
Terrible, terrible news. I don't even care about his boxing career going forward, just the best possible outcome from this and for the rest of his life. Prayers to him and his family. He seemed like a truly good dude.
Good fight. Congrats to Hope.
Proksa was too wild and predictable.
Hope just looked too strong in there. He seemed unfazed by all the shots he took and just bullied Proksa around.
Props to Rigondeaux for finally deciding to finish it.
Ramos was clearly outclassed and that went on a lot longer than it should have.
Nishioka or Donaire next?
If the Federation won't do anything, how about the police? After all, the riot had nothing to do with the match itself. Shouldn't some people--whether part of Lazarte's team, or simply an audience member--be arrested and punished? Or should we expect Argentine boxing to include extracurricular fights?
This is a disgusting, disgusting shame....
This.
It's definitely a shame.
