lol.
Between being attacked by countrymen for being an accused terrorist............and him getting knocked out after all the stupid fucking bullshit hype his SAME COUNTRYMEN THREW HIS WAY......he was assed out.
I hate British people.
They're so dumb in boxing regards, it's not even funny. Every single one of us Yanks predicted he wouldn't last......yet they said he would beat Floyd.
hmm... maybe british boxing fans who spend all their time posting on forums are retards. but i personally never rated khan, and always found his world title ambitions pretty funny. i was actually very happy to see him knocked out, after being fed so many fighters that were hand picked to make him look good. most of my friend, who are boxing fans, were also waiting for him to get exposed. you may be under the impression that everyone in this country thought khan was the greatest boxer alive or something, but maybe that's more to do with the fanatical nature of people who spend too much time on the internet.
boxing is such an individual sport, that i never take a fighters nationality into account... unless it's some french scum bag.
Why waste time and money to give the photo scum their 15 min.
they already got their 15min. and the pics are still gaining more exposure. if they truly are fakes, it wont be hard to prove it. i'm not saying that they are real, but it's suspicious.
I acknowledge the neck was troubling for me.
But after looking at the available photos of Oscar on Yahoo..
Well......... Dude doesn't have much of a neck, basically.
His fat old head is helping him in this situation.

looks like he's using the shoulder roll defense
at 1st i was certain these pics were fakes.
thing is, experts can analyze these things and prove that they are fakes pretty easily. why haven't oscars lawyers hired an expert to prove that they are fake?.... suspicious!
why haven't they come out with the original pics of oscars face that were shopped into these pics?.... very suspicious!
okay, now i dont for a moment doubt that oscar is a drag queen. i just sincerely hope that anyone old enough to read and write is joking when they say that those photos are real.
it doesn't (or at least shouldn't) take a second to realize that those pics were shopped. but anyways, just cos those pics are faked doesn't mean that he aint into that stuff. i'm sure he is.
KO's are prestigious.
You can make all the excuses in the world when you lose a decision.
"Oh, I wasn't ready for this fight." or "The judges robbed me." or "He kept hitting me low so I was taken out of my fight."
When you KO an opponent, what the fuck can they say?
"I made a mistake, he reacted and I got knocked the fuck out."
KOs > Decisions
i disagree. if you get KO'd, you can always say "it was a lucky punch. put me in the ring with that guy 10 times, and 8 or 9 times out of 10 i'll be the one who lands the knock out punch. he just happened to be lucky that this time he got in there 1st".
When Rahman KO'd Lewis, i didnt think "damn he's a much better boxer than Lewis is". but if he'd owned him for 12 rounds and one a big UD, i probably would have.
Bottom line, I love seeing fight finish with a dramatic KO, but people can and will make excuses about anything.
You raise an interesting point. For some reason we require Heavyweights to use incredible power to knock their opponents out, instead of masterful skills to out-tactic them to a strong decision victory. Moreso than we do with any other division. Why?
Is this also why we're ending up with a load of hugely massive fighters who are in questionable shape and put on fight after fight of aimless skill-less slugging...with a few exceptions of course?
for me this is cos in the smaller weight divisions you tend to see more speed, skills, and stamina. so when i choose to watch heavyweight boxing, there's one BIG reason why. the one thing they're always gonna have over the smaller guys is power, so that's kinda what i tune in to see.
I would say Oscar is the best looking. I`m not a big fan of him or anything else, but i oh man......he looks very handsome and beautiful mmm....
Khan, is not a bad choise either, a big young but in a couple of years mmm....
Paul Malignaggi is also beautiful, and someone i hope to see more of in the future
when oscars fighting, he looks like an angry ricky martin crossed with a chipmunk, and when he's talking, he sounds like michael jackson after just being kicked in the nuts.
There's very little debate whether Mayweather is considered to be the current best PFP fighter the game today. Question is...what does PBF need to do to bring his popularity to the level of Delahoya to bring in a larger fan base?
i'm a floyd fan but i think he would be more popular and generate more money if he'd had a loss earlier in his career. he's scared to death of loosing his 0. being unbeaten is a big part of what it means to be floyd mayweather, if he had a professional loss on his record, he would look at himself differently and perhaps be more of an exciting fighter, as the difference between no losses and one loss, is huge compared to the difference between 1 loss and 2.
once being unbeaten is no longer a possibility he'd be forced to show his greatness and superiority in other ways.
i used to actually prefer mma to boxing (used to). and i have to say, this is nothing new. there have been plenty of terrible decisions in mma. it's a very dodgey sport. it's not just dodgey judging either. the whole way that it's set up, where you have a big organization like the UFC (which is seen as the top echelon of the sport), that can drop a fighter who's beaten everyone they've put in front of him, simply because his style is not exciting enough (which makes it more of a spectacle than a sport). the business men and marketing men have way too much power in mma. and the actual competitors have little control at all. all the ufc fights are put together by the ufc 2match maker" who's main prerogative, is to find (or create) a fan favorite, and get him to a tile shot. now i no boxing is also pretty bad in this respect, but in the ufc... it's the same organization that hires the fighters it wants, chooses the fights it wants, hires the judges it wants, and hands out the belts. theres way to much room for corruption there.
I fancy Clottey in this fight
i agree. hi didn't just back away and out box margarito for 4 rounds, he stood there and beat him. then he managed to last 8 rounds, with zero offense, allowing margarito to let off a record number of punches
