Thanks man. Ramirez is going up against Andrew Selby he is most peoples favorite to win gold. GB has gotten some questionable decisions already, but the scoring is crazy anyway, I think they still have 6 out of 7 guys remaining.
Fred Evans/GB VS Canada/Custio Clayton
Robeisy Carrazana Ramirez /Cuba VS. Andrew Selby/GB
Who do you guys have winning these tommorow? Will GB keep rolling on?
Yea I took Joshua he looked good against Zhang to me. From what I saw Dychko is 1-1 against Zhang beating him in the 2nd fight. Dychko is tough though. If its close we all know the judges probably give it to Joshua
Is this gonna be on anywhere? I swear I heard espn say that it would be on espn.com or espn3 or something but I dont see any mention of it on there site. Also alot of the ppvs now days have been doing the 1st hour or so of the undercard for free lately before the ppv starts but I dont see anything for this one..
To the guy in the 2nd post that said Tarver already beat him twice & has nothin to prove. Did you forget Roy also has two wins over Tarver. One as an amateur and also the first fight as pros. So its really tied up 2 each. In the last fight everyone says Roy didint even fight. I'll agree he didint put up much offense but Tarver did nothing either untill the 11th when he caught Roy with a lucky right hook. Roy showed enough in the fight and the last one that he CAN whoop Tarver.
I think Roys gonna fight Glen Johnson after Tito. Hes been saying thats the fight he wants most. As long as he wins those two and Tarver wins a couple fights I could see it happening again.
He needs to forget Beyer and Silva. And take on won the winner of Tarver/Woods or Johnson/Dawson. I reallt hope he trys to make a fight in June or July with one of them.
Why does he still have to be the greatest in the sport to keep going? If he still loves it and people still love seeing him thats reason enough to go on. You never know how you much can inspire other people. But as long as you can still do it and have a positive impact on people you should keep going. I've seen all Roys fights and to me he's still got. If he can come back and whoop Tarver and Johnson and ride of into the sunset that would be one of the greatest stories in sports history to me. I see no reason not to try for it at least.
How in the world did Green end up with a belt? Roy would take care of him by early KO. I like Roy fighting Green or Muriqi, I know its just gonna make people talk even more trash if he fights them but theres nobody else to fight right now but Jermain. Obviously the "showtime situation" he was talking about is the April 12th card with Tarver Woods, Dawson Johsnon. So all ya'll saying he should "fight Johsnon" or "fight Tarver" need to remember they both have fights coming up and Roy IS looking at them both. I heard him say on ESPN after the Trinidad fight that Johnson was the "most important move" of his comeback. So I think its a great sign he wants a stay busy fight and I hope he gets one. Then after that its time for winner of Calzaghe Hopkins or the return fights with Johnson and Tarver!
I cant believe they wanna do this in New Orleans? Florida is the only place for this one. Why ask your fans to travel so far? This should be held at the St.Pete Forum...
I hope Roy fights on, and I think that he will. You're all getting a lil crazy begging him to stop and "dont hurt your legacy" and on and on. I think he considers all that for himself, and can worry about it on his own. Who are any of you to tell him what he should or shouldnt do. I love RJ just as much as anyone else, he's my fav fighter and I dont want to see him or any other fighter get hurt. He can do what he wants though, and I think he's still got it. I thought the fight was close till the cut. I would like to see him take any of those fights, if he wins then maybe a Calzaghe rematch. Also Glen Johnson, Tarver, Hopkins, all 40+ and I dont see nearly as many people going crazy for them to retire and all three just recently lost as well.
None of you have any right to tell any boxer when to hang em up, let alone a HOF boxer like RJ. It aint you in there, you aint family or friends. So if you dont wanna watch dont, but why bother comin on here just to spread your negative feelings. How would you feel if you were forced to quit you're job as soon as you get old and your skills start to decline to make room for someone younger? Unless your a ***** you would probably wanna fight for your job. I have more respect for RJ then I ever would have if he had retired after say the Ruiz or first Tarver fight because of the fact that he fights on and has shown a true love for his sport. I also give him a good chance to beat Haye or anybody else for that matter.
I dont know if Roy is pricinjg himself out or not. But if he wants to secure his legacy he needs to make this fight happen. I cant even imagine the trash talk if he doesent get it after waiting over half a year.
I still think RJ can do a lot at LH. Thats why I dont know what to make of this, I hope he didnt have trouble with the weight for Calzaghe. I just cant believe he's thinking about Holyfield right now. There are so many great winnable fights that could be made at LH, I like RJ against any in the top 10. The only point of going to HW would be to win some belts and Holy dont have any...
To me even if Hopkins one every round he was barely winning them. It was never any real meaningful punches, mostly just dirty boxing and body work in the clinch.
