Sometimes the noise is too much, and Peter didn’t hear it either, it happens. What they need to do is sound it at the same time through an ear piece or haptic so the ref has no excuse to not be aware.
It was hardly a crazy atmosphere out there.
Even IF he couldn't hear the bell...He would've/should've known how long there was left in the round... And if he didn't, he's not up to that level of job. It's simple really.
I think the end was inevitable, Rico was shattered, but that was an early stoppage regardless of time. Put time into the equation and literally no one else in the world stops it (unless they were paid to). His mum would've been embarrassed to stop it there.
Everyone makes mistakes, but it's your job to listen to for the bell and it was, believe it or not, a World title fight, so you should be one of the best at it.
If you didn't hear it, fine. But you shouldn't be reffing at that level again anytime soon. Plenty of refs that can hear a bell out there.
In fairness another 10-8 round would've been enough to put him around there and it was probably likely in the 12th.
But, obviously that didn't happen, so I'm talking nonsense.
He clearly wasn't in shape, didn't think Rico could walk through him the way he did, or he was old.
He would normally provide angles and be in and out so quickly, but he just didn't have feet under him this time.
This is his retirement tour. That wasn't Usyk.
Tell me one other sport, where the guy from the other sport can come and make it look competitive against top guy.
How many rounds would Usyk last against Rico in kickboxing fight?
How many games would a table tennis player win againat top 10 ranked tennis player in a tennis match?
Multiple F1 drivers have gone on to wins Le Mans, Indy 500.
Brock Lesnar, Holly Holm, Israel Adesanya won the UFC title.
Bo Jackson in MBL and NFL.
Eddie Eagan won Gold in the bobsleigh after boxing!
Viv Richards in football and cricket.
Just to make a few.
It's hard, but hardly impossible.
Not sure anyone except the ref thought the fight should've been stopped there...
But I think most think he would've been knocked out in the 12th...
Should've had the chance though. Joke stoppage.
Rico is a strong MF, walked through some big shots and kept coming.
Usyks feet were gone. Just flat footed. Without his footwork he's just average. Maybe time to call it day.
Usyk was just flat footed.
Old or didn't take it seriously?
Either way, his feet were not there - and that's what made him special.
Credit to Rico who walked through all the shots early and threw his own. Tough man.
Jack looking pretty fly for a white guy
slick southpaw
Yup, always had been. He gets hate because he's a counter puncher, but he is hard to hit and starts fast.
He does slow as the rounds go on though and doesn't see lead rights. But Giyasov doesn't look like he's trained to throw one.
He needs to hang in there, Jacks stamina isn't always great.
Lead with the jab v Catterall you're going to end up missing every time and countered hard.
Got to lead with the straight right. It's like these guys have never seen Jack fight.

"I wouldn't see the point in Daniel facing Usyk again, I would say to Daniel fight another British heavyweight or someone like Moses. He's not that clever with southpaws, he needs to face one or two others... so I wouldn't advise him to do it"
Enough of the nonsense.
Not to mention the last time Usyk wiped the floor with him DDD was on the best run of his career, just beating AJ, he couldn't have been any more confident.
Hahah! That's pathetic! More gifts to cheaty belly, so after defending all his titles against a boxing (!) nobody, he can rest for months again and continue stalling the division, while really promising fighters will be waiting more for no valid reason.
No, he'll have 180 days to fight the IBF mandatory. Which'll likely be the winner of Sanchez Vs Torres Jr.
Fabio was more tired than anything at that point. Yeah he took some HEAVY hits, and a beating, but when he struggled walking it was more to being completely worn out than the shots. The man has a chin.
It was the same v Clarke. Hurt him early, emptied the tank to get him out, completely almost out of energy and almost lost.
No problem with him going in again, it's for a World Title.
Knocking Daniel down so early was actually bad for Fabio though because he just thought he could knock him out easily and he put everything in every punch without setting it up. Just winging wild, full power punches at thin air. No feinting, no set up. That's how you lose all energy.
Got to be better than than. Not sure he can be. It may still be a fight where he wins early or is worn out at the end...
He was more tired from missing wild swings than anything else.
He'll be fine to come back.
But he does need to learn some patience. He couldn't finished DDD early if he didn't chase the KO and wear himself out. Went totally wild.
I think it's clear what's happening here.
They sign for Zuffa, but will never fight for Zuffa.
Just Turki's Ring cards.
It's just Turki's way of stealing the fighters without directly doing it.
Dana is just the stooge on the side with the fight nights nobody cares about to make it look like a real promotion.
He's a sneaky one this Turki (or is he, because we all know what's happening). Even Dana is being played the fool. They all are.
These guys didn't even attend Conor Benns first fight with them!
Great fight if it happens.
But we did see what Zhang did to Hrgovic with his southpaw style.
With Moses' speed and movement, and Hrgovic's questionable stamina, it's easy to think Moses wins easily.
But I still like the fight, Hrgovic would come to win, even if he is naturally outgunned. He's got to drag Moses through the trenches.
He passes the eye test for sure. Would love to see him in a big fight. Looks like the full package...
But his team know best, and because he's not being thrown in, I suspect they think he's not ready.
IronDanHamza
Wardley just swang for the fences once he knew he could hurt DDD, technique out the window and stamina sapped.
He does have a tendency to do that, same v Clarke. Needs to learn to be patient and time his shots the way he does before he lands a big one.
Great fight to go to though! Would've been a fun night
I told ya Wardley would have big problems with Dubois :lol1:
I was almost right with very early knockout though! I knew DDD would walk onto something big early. Thought I was in the money there!
do people not remember that i think he quit x2 v usyk already, it would almost be like watching a re run of some sporting event, i dont think the money would be even close to being there either for it plus usyk is on his retirement milk run it seems
His dad's not forgotten!
