This decision is why the credibility of boxing is where it is. Everyone sitting at the arena and watching on a television can clearly see who won the fight but three judges sitting ringside cant?
The governor of California and the Association of Boxing Commissions needs to step in and correct this travesty. You've had people who spent good money to watch a contest between two fighters and the outcome was clear for everyone watching except the judges. The judges needs to be banned from ever judging a fight again.
Everyone knows that Chavez Jr is Top Rank's fighter and the son of Julio however judges are supposed to be impartial and clearly these judges weren't.
They have judging seminars and I've attended some and some of the judges there couldn't score a fight correctly and were still allowed to judge a fight. It's ridiculous and until there's a system that accurately identifies a judges ability to correctly judge then the judge shouldn't be issued a license.
Furthermore, the commissions needs to step up and remove incompetent judges and overturn bad decisions to bring credibility to boxing. This has to stop. The people in boxing fought hard against a Federal overseer and wanted to police itself and haven't stepped up. For the love of this sport, please step up and do what's best for boxing.
Please everyone write the governor of California and have him look into reversing this bad decision.
In order for evil to prevail, good men sit back and do nothing. Let's not sit back. For the love of the sport we love, boxing.
Does every topic comes around to black and white?
Is there a inate need for people to have a symbol to
make them feel good about themselves?
Why does it matter? And what do you get from it?:dunno:
Please elaborate. Thank you.
For the guys with the comments surprised that Butterbean was fucking.
Well, I was at several fights and the Bean was there as a fan with a
knockout chick! He's a cool dude once you talk to him. Hey with girls
any of you ought to know; money, or a little fame can get you some nice
looking ones.
It's definately the Featherweights. the division is loaded with talent
from top to bottom. There's upcoming talent that will carry the division for years. All that needs to happen is for the guys to start fighting each other. Take a look at the fighters from 126 to 130lbs and you can see dream fight after fight.
Boxrec is one of the best things that's come into boxing. With the
click of a mouse and your keyboard you have access to all fighters
records. Matchmakers, managers, promoters and everyone involved
in putting cards together use it. It saves a lot of time trying to get
useful information. If there's a fw mistakes the guys there are quick to make corrections. I commend them on the outstanding job and service
they provide.:boxing:
Opponents for Arreola's a phone call way!!
Don't believe the hype!!! Chris Arreola's not having a hard time finding opponents. In fact if you look over at Fightnews.com; Cedric Bozwell called Arreola out. There's one credible opponent. He's the current IBF North American Champion who will put up his title to fight Arreola. I know that Derek Bryant's been trying to fight Arreola too. There's two opponents for Chris.
Now the reason the fights aren't being made is another story. (Mainly Arreola's people; Dan Goosen, Tom Brown, Al Hayman etc.)
These guys lie to the public through the press when the truth is they want to pick and choose opponents and duck the ones that present a real threat.
You wanted to fight Travis Walker for an IBF eliminator; why not fight Bozwell in a fight for the IBF Americas Title which will gurantee the winner a good position.
Step up and give the public and HBO their monies worth and in return see if Chris is a "Nightmare" as he wants to be called. Time to step up. Do you believe in him or not. It's time to see what you got. Let's make the fight.
