Wlad is too old, thats the problem.
With age your powers decrease and your speed drops away.
Heavyweights can finish fights with a lucky punch but I predict this will be another points win snore fest for the idiot Fury.
Love to see Wlad whallop him though, Fury is such an idiot.
It matters because it puts boxing in a bad light having someone like that as a heavyweight champion. You want a professional athlete to actually look like a professional athlete, not some slob who just rolled off the couch.
Fury appeals to the lowest common denominator and his antics have gotten predictable. And none of that sh*t matters if you're absolute aids to watch in the ring.
Well said Sir.
Joshua is not a 'great' fighter but he is good enough to bury the joke that Fury is.
Khan has been idle for too long.
He needs a BIG fight to propel him into the world scene with accompanying spotlight, only that will make him bankable for Manny or Floyd.
Good on him for taking a really tough fight.
He needs the reputation to be bolstered.
Right now he may as well be a squawking chihuahua peeking out of Paris Hilton's purse.
Eubanks hasn't landed it on world class opponents so hard to say it's the best
But it must be pretty good if u tell your opponent u will use it but can still land it. Maybe Nick didn't think eubank would use it and thought eubank was bluffing
Good call.
Nick didn't seem to have an answer for it and it knocked the legs out of the poor fella. He just kept getting hit with the uppercut and he didn't have an answer for it. No lateral movement of the head or the feet.
After a while it was landing constantly and it didn't make for pretty viewing.
Corner should have stopped it about 2 rounds earlier. Blackwell was way down on the cards and eating some crazy uppercuts. He lost a LOT of blood during that fight.
The kid was out on his feet 2-3 rounds before the stoppage. He was getting by on pure courage.
Eubank senior was right to implore the referee to stop the fight.
The referee needs his licence revoked.
Poor Nicky Blackwell, his corner let him down badly.
Now his career is over.
WHat boxing commission in their right mind is ever going to give this kid a blue card again after a brain bleed.
Young man, may you make a full and complete recovery and never endanger yourself in the ring again. All power to your healing and to your family at this time.
It's all tumbleweeds until the contracts are signed.
It could be 10 million but what does it matter, if there is no signature it may swell be nothing because Money talks and BS walks.
Is it not enough because BJS knows he won't win so if he's going to start his career descent he wants a bigger payday?
It will be the making of Eubank jnr if he can get the fight and then win it.
He could go on to do big things but...
If he lost a 2nd time to BJS it would be the end of the road for Eubank.
Joshua better be doing his roadwork if he's going to fight Fury, because Fury will spend 12 rounds running and hugging and trying to score cheap jabs on the break etc
Oh dear, enough childish posturing, it is very dull.
Billy Joe Saunders...?
Is he good enough to beat a genuine champion at this time?
I don't think he could beat Eubanks junior anymore, I think Eubanks junior would start faster and put him to sleep this time around.
He wasn't fighting back.
There was only going to be one winner from the 5th round onwards.
It should have been stopped considerably earlier.
Nick Blackwell showed huge heart but he was overwhelming outgunned and outclassed.
He seems like a very likeable young man.
I hope he makes a fast full recovery and lives a long and rewarding and fulfilling life and that he never pulls on the gloves again in earnest.
If boxing can survive the departure of Ali it can certainly survive the absence of a boring, coma-inducing wanker like Mayweather.
I would have couched this sentiment in more delicate terms but the essential thrust of the statement remains entirely agreeable.
May weather has for some time been an effective combatant against insomnia.
