Omar Henry is a beast. I've seen almost all his fights. And to the guy who said Shawn Porter is a future star....I disagree. He hasn't fought anyone and wont fight anyone. Omar Henry called him out countless times and Porter kept running and ducking. Porter is nothing special he fights like an amateur.
The boxing industry isn't that big. I know word has gotten around that Omar Henry can't find an opponent. So my question is WHERE IS SHAWN PORTER WITH ALL THAT NOISE HE WAS MAKING? I know he's hear that Omar has no opponent for the 29th! But we all know he's more interested in fighting bums at catch weights.
Defamation, libel, & slander against celebrities is a lot more complicated than defamation against a regular joe. The privacy laws are different. Manny Pacquiao's case will never stick in court, not only does he have to prove that the accusations were false but he also has to prove that the accuser KNEW THAT HIS ACCUSATIONS WERE FALSE...If he came to my firm with this case I would send him right back out of my office. He's only using the lawsuit as a threat to try to keep the Mayweather camp quiet, as far as the steroid allegations. I'm sure the Mayweather camp knows and understands this, and the fact that Manny Pacquiao has no argument in court. And that is why they're still on going with the steroid accusations.
I don't see how anyone can point a finger at Floyd and say he's running from Pac. He signed everything & agreed to everything. Pac is clearly the one hold up this fight. Pacquiao is clearly ducking Floyd.
He definitely wasn't knocked out cold, he tried to get up to beat the count and the ref stopped him. He was conscious the whole time. Knocked out COLD, would mean unconscious.
Does it really matter if Dirrell was acting or not? Speaking of acting, what about all those low blows that Abraham acted out. If they land on the belt and the ref doesn't say anything, keep fighting. If a punch really hits you in the jewels then make your case. But flopping out low blows that didn't actually hurt is pointless to me.
But back to what I was saying, "Does it really matter if Dirrell was acting?" Who remembers Roy Jones vs Montell Griffin? He didn't knock Griffin unconscious but he made contacts while Griffin was already down, so he got disqualified. You can make the argument all day that Abraham could have landed clean in the 11th or 12th round, but because he lost his composure and through a frustration punch all we can judge the fight by is the 11 rounds that Dirrell dominated.
If Pacquaio is clean he's an idiot...his refusal to take these blood tests have his own fans questioning his whole career. Imagine how Cotto feels..."Both of my losses came from potential cheaters" lol
I don't understand what the problem is, Floyd agreed to 147, agreed to the glove size, agreed to the ringsize, & had no preference of a venue, but Pacquiao has a problem with Floyd's only request...Random blood tests with a 14 day cut off. Floyd doesn't need Pacquiao, Floyd can do a million PPVs fighting Nate Cambell or Matt Hatton. He doesn't need Pacquiao to make money. Pacquiao struggled to do 700,00 against Clottey.
People think Pac would just beat Yuri to the punch everytime but what you have to remember is that Pac would have extra weight on him, his hands will still probably be faster but not that significant of a difference.
Porter is a bum! He refuses to fight any competition and Isis moving down to 147 because he's afraid to fight Omar Henry. He's a sparring partner and always will be. He's known more for who he's sparred with than who he's beaten. And he only sparred with Pacquiao because Omar Henry turned it down, he was plan b.
"A Big KO?" He knocked out a 10-10 fighters at a 150 catch weight. Lets be serious. There are countless prospects that would destroy him. Joe Greene would beat him, Demetrius Andrade would beat him, Omar Henry would knock him out, Vanes Martirosyan would stop him, even Abraham Han might beat him!
Shawn Porter has been boxing his whole life an despite that he's garbage. He's known for who he's sparred with not who he's beaten. And he was plan B for the sparring job after Omar Henry turned it down.
I don't want to hear anything about his amateur career. People seem to think because he was a good amateur he'll be a good pro. Its like saying Greg Oden was good in college so he's gotta do good in the pros.
I'm not saying that the drug testing penalty rumors are true but WHY WOULD FREDDIE ROACH OR PACQUIAO'S CAMP ADMIT THAT THEY REQUESTED TO KNOW THE FINE FOR A FAILED TEST OR REQUESTED TO KEEP THE RESULTS PRIVATE?
Corruption
This is pure corruption. She saw that Alvarez wasn't going to come close on points and she tried to help him pull ahead in the late rounds. Total corruption. She should lose her job.
I've seen a lot of Joe Greene. Very talented South Paw. Has a tendency to get wild at times, but he shows improvements every fight. I expect for him to keep his left hand high, avoid Martirosyan's big lead right hook and show off his boxing skills. Wouldn't surprise me if Greene won. I'm actually predicting Joe Greene will win.
Froch should talk about hometown decisions...
Lets be serious, Froch has no room to talk about hometown decisions, he the most lopsided decision so far in the Super 6! I had Dirrell winning 8 rounds to 4. I don't see anyway that you could have given Froch that decision. But so far, the hometown fighter has won every fight, maybe the next few should be in neutral zones? Although that would affect ticket sales and revenues
Pacquiao is to blame
I don't see how people can point the finger at Mayweather & say he's being difficult. Pacquiao is clearly the on holding up this fight & I'm really starting to question whether he's been juicing up or not.
I hope this doesn't happen!
Freddie Roach is usually very bias and his voice is annoying as anything I've ever heard. I'd listen to Emmanuel Stewart on a megaphone for 24 hours straight before I listen to Freddie Roach on B.A.D. without the TV on mute. I can hear it now..."Freddie, he just got dropped. What do u tell your fighter after he has been dropped" "I'd tell him, Throw your jab son. Create space so he can get on the inside. You've been her before son, you can overcome this.....son" He begins and ends ever sentence with "son".
I say Marvin Hagler, George Foreman, Antonio Tarver, Roy Jones, or Nazim Richardson are all better options. I'm mad Lennox is leaving, he knows the sport very well.
