I'll admit I haven't seen very many Lopez fights, but I don't get what people see in him. From what I've seen he's got balls and that's about it. Marquez is a far more technical fighter, he'll pick Lopez apart. He might not have enough anymore to get the fight stoped, but if the wild swinging Mtagwa can take Lopez to a decision in a losing effort, with Lopez barely able to stand at the end of it, Marquez can surely take him the distance and win it.
It's called the power of suggestion. Let's say you are trying to sell a product and your competitor is also trying to sell a similar product. You gain some inside info on how that competitor plans to sell that product. What do you do? You make it public before they do, with a negative spin on it. Now that competitor can't come out with that plan because people already have a negative impression of it. So the competitor has to come up with something new.

Terrible fight, both are c fighters at best. The lack of pure talent in the sport right now is what's getting fighters like these guys attention right now. Bradley flails away and leads with his head while Alexander lost the fight before ever entering the ring because he allowed his own trainer to psych him out with the headbutt issue.

I'm a huge Marquez fan and I agree with you 100%. I believe that Marquez won both fights. The first one should have been given to him simply for how he performed after getting floored three times in the 1st round. That kind of first round would have mentally defeated almost any other boxer in the game. The second fight should have been given to him, well, because he won it through and through. I just love the way Marquez fights, the way he breaks down his opponents, his ability to trade without fear, recover from KDs, and he seems like a pretty good man outside of the ring.
I also believe that the only reason Jr called him out was to try and set up his ducking of Paquiao. He figured he could use the whole "look what I did to the last man to give Paquiao a hard time in the ring", not realizing that most of the world is smart enough to say "wait a minute, Paquiao didn't call Marquez up 2 weight classes when they faught, Pacquiao didn't come into the fight over the agreed apon weight, and Paquiao didn't refuse the unofficial weigh in on fight night so that the media and fans wouldn't know just how much heavier he really was than Marquez on the night of the fight". When Paquiao and Marquez faught, it was an even fight. When Jr and Marquez faught, it wasn't.
However, I really think Marquez new this, knew he didn't have much of a chance and took the pay day, but I'm sure he still allowed himself to believe that Jr would at least be honourable about it.

I always try to see the bigger picture. And, I think that could be a possibility to do this lawsuit. Is to show that GBP don't have Pac best interest. And, try to void the contract... I am not saying that is going on. But, that could be a strong possibility behind all this.
