In a recent post on who is to considered the dominant LWW Bradley came out tops. Styles make fights out of the top LWWs who do you consider would give Bradley the most problems and toughest fight and why?

With Marquez now airing his misgivings ONLY after Maidana is contactually tied up makes me think there was no real intention of Golden Boy ever making the fight. I think we may well all be being scammed here it was consideration that I felt could be going on when I first heard of the Marquez Khan fight particularly when the Hatton Marquez fight was being talked about just before. There is no question Golden Boy don't want Khan to fight Maidana so how do you get out of the mandatory without making Khan look like a pussy? You "look" like you are fighting a better fighter(Marquez) tie up the mandatory Maidana into a contract where you have a 2 to 3 fight space by leveraging Golden Boys and HBO's influence then set him up with fights where he can lose (Maidana Cayo being the first of these) that way Khan may never have to fight him. Once Maidana has been contractually tied up surprise surprise fellow Golden Boy fighter Marquez starts getting cold feet. If the fight falls out of bed "brave" Khan who wanted to fight Marquez is left without an opponent and is now in a position to take on a feather fisted made to order opponent completely consistent with his padded and media controled and hyped career so far . Both Khan and Marquez get loads of free publicity which is great as far as Golden Boy is concerned and Khan is completely off the hook with Maidana. How convenient. Hatton has very strong commercial ties to Golden Boy he was supposedly in negotiations with Marquez for a fight . Surely a Khan Marquez fight would throw a spanner in the works for any Hatton Golden Boy future deals. That never felt right to me. Don't be surprised if the Marquez Khan fight falls out of bed and we see Khan take another made to order opponent for his US debut and maybe a series of them. In the mean time watch Maidaina run the gauntlet fighting tough challengers who are good boxers just to get the chance to fight Khan for the title a chance had he stuck to his guns he could have forced now . Surely tyeing up a deal when both fighters that are in your stable (Khan and Marquez) has to be a lot easier to do than getting an outside fighter to relinquish by postponing his mandatory rights? They manage to get the outsider Maidana tied up but can't get their own shit together at Golden Boy. It stinks,the whole thing stinks.I see the real possibility that Marquez ends up fighting Hatton and Khan fighting someone who suits him down to the ground. We may well all be being played and scammed or Khoned or am I being too cynical.

What will the excuse be if Khan pulls out of mandatory? If Khan pulls out of the mandatory Team Khan's PR machine will go to work to turn the duck into some kind of victory. So we are told Khan wants the fight but is being forced despite his deepest protestations to vacate the title to appease Roach. I think there are going to be other add on excuses/ reasons that the spin merchants will concoct . Personally I think it would be a great idea to employ Baghdad Bob?Comical Ali as the Team Khan spokesman. What great inventive excuses do you think will be spun by Team Khan if he pulls out?

Frank Warren really is a piece of garbage but he has a strangle hold on British boxing. He does not care about his fighters and never has done other than he needs some kind of relationship in order to continue earning money out of them. If you watch footage of the Prescott KO you will see Warren get up and leave while Khan is clearly in a state of distress only later to return for the interview. He saw money go down the drain and legged it. This was a very telling moment and showed me he really does not give a shit about Khan other than having him as a meal ticket.Having said that he has done a miraculous management job in navigating Khan to a World Title since and salvaging his career from lets face it not a little blip but an absolute disaster in the Prescottt KO. Khan is now a free agent and has made it clear he wants to fight in the States and is looking for a US promoter. This can not go down well with Warren. Recently there has been a real effort by the Warren organisation to step up Kevin Mitchell's profile and in fighting and beating Prescott he has achieved that. Could he be setting up Mitchell to be his No 1 when a split with Khan occurs? Recently there was an article in the notoriously unreliable Sun where Roach claimed that he did not want Khan to fight Maidana. Frank is a Sun Columnist which makes me think there is truth in these assertions. With all the speculation about Pacquiao and HGH and with Khan sharing the same trainer Roach you would have thought he would have added a comment I know all my boxers are clean. Personally I think he is referring to David Haye and Adam Booth but some readers might think Khan and Roach. Either way as Khan's former and possible joint or full promoter you would have thought Warren would have written more about Khan and the Maidana fight but all you get is 2 lines "AMIR KHAN'S mandatory WBA light-welterweight title defence against Argentinian Marcos Maidana will go to purse bids this week after those involved couldn't come to an agreement." It does not mention Warren as being one of those involved or who is involved if anything it indicates that the management can't get their act together. Khan is now big enough in the UK to go it alone without Warren . He has his own promotion company . Frank can't help him in the States. Warren's big name fighters all seem to want to split with him when they get really well known. The cracks are showing . Do you think we are about to see a permanent split with Khan and Warren? If so expect to see Warren slag off Khan like he does with all the fighters that leave him.

Now that it looks like Khan will vacate his title to avoid taking on Maidana,a fight I felt he could win. We must presume now there is no title at stake there is a strong likelihood that Khan will take on less dangerous opposition as indicated by the safety first policy . Maidana's boxing skills are not good but he can punch, Malignaggi can box but does not hit hard and is capable of getting a points win against Khan so I don't see that fight being made for a long time. Ortiz would be a risk as well. I think we may well see a series of fights in the States against bums to gain exposure in the hope of gaining US fans while promising big things in the future . Much along the lines of his career so far in the UK. So far hype and bullshit baffles brains has worked in the UK where there is a strong fan base willing to fork out to see these one sided canned fights and it has made him a rich man. Of course this is speculation and Khan may take on some tough fights but if Roach and Warren settle on a diet of bum fighters for Khan HOW DO YOU THINK US FANS WILL TAKE TO KHAN FIGHTING LOW LEVEL OPPOSITION? WILL THIS WORK LIKE IT HAS DONE IN THE UK? Disclaimer: This is no criticm of Khan personally as he has made it perfectly clear in numerous interviews that he will fight anybody and the top guys but despite his deepest protestations Roach and Warren force him against his will to fight weaker opposition and dump his belt.

There was some talk a few months ago about Kevin Mitchell going to the States and working with Freddie Roach. Kevin is working with Jimmy and Mark Tibbs and IMO has improved a lot and this showed in the Prescott fight. Are Mitchell's plans of working with Freddie now over? Does anyone know why he did not work with Roach?

I have seen lots of posts on Cotto should get a new trainer etc after the loss to Manny but was that a poor Cotto that turned up or was Manny just too good for him. Hatton looked like Hatton to me when he fought Mayweather he was just out classed after the fight Billy Graham was sacked but IMO he did pretty well in that fight relative to his talents and who ever trained him the loss was inevitable.After the fight Mayweather Snr took over as trainer but that did not work,it was the same old no defense Hatton that turned up for the Manny fight or even a poorer version.One thing is for sure he was no match for Manny. Was that a poor Cotto that turned up on fight night? Could he really done a lot better ? In Manny's last 3 fights he made DLH, Hatton and Cotto look ordinary with Cotto looking head and shoulders better than the other two. Was that a poor Cotto that turned up or just was Manny is so good he made Cotto look ordinary?
