Because these kinds of fights are telecast Live Via Satellite in Asian countries and other countries, so PPV is not a good gauge on how popular a boxer is. It is just a gauge on how rich people can afford it specially US and UK.
Another reason is, before PBF`s retirement, the world economy was not at its worse as it is now, nor had swine flu. Even Mexico would be spending more on medicines than PPV right now.

I am a Cotto fan, and let me say that the Cotto I saw tonite would get picked apart by Pacman. Yeah he had a cut on his eye but I did not see the Cotto who Stood toe to toe with SSM or the Cotto who made Judah quit or even the Cotto who for the first six rounds made Margarito look like an amateur. But all said and done if the fight with Pac gets made I will back Cotto 100%.

Of course he will. There's so much focus on being undefeated these days that fans are willing to label a guy "overrated" or a hype job just because they lose a fight. It's not like Pavlik had everything going for him. Fighting a legend who rehydrated to be 16 pounds heavier than himself is a tall order.
And he will be a great Middleweight champion if he stays focused on winning instead of on making money. That's one of the failures of boxing today. It used to be about hard work, preparation, focus, and winning. Now it's about weight-hopping, and doing "just enough" to perform on fight night for a big pay check.
kelly should bounce back... learn something important for that loss and have a winning mindset once again. but even though he will get lost on that fight with rubio, its not his end. continue to fight like oscar and hopkins after a loss, dont be like tito who let his first loss damage his career.
Depends on the weight the are fighting.. at 147, Cotto would annihilate Pac... 156 to 160 vs 148 to 150 is not a good idea... they should fight at 144 to make the fight 50/50.

Good close fight, I think the cut on Cottos eye affected him alot from the head-butt Clottey gave him. I think Cotto retaliated with a body slam because of that nasty cut.

Based on how Cotto looked tonight, it's not a bad idea. He didn't look his best tonight, and he showed 0 head movement. I think Pac would ko the cotto that fought tonight. Pac always says his opponent is tough and great!!! he always see it. coz its true... but Pac always comes out on top! But im worried about this fight because he choose to train in the Philippines.
