This guy has absolutely no shame.
I think the more intelligent boxing fans are coming round to the truth now that Wilder hasn’t beaten anybody whatsoever.
Ortiz - best win is Jennings. Old, slow and overated.
Stiverne - just got blasted out by a novice
Molina - took him rounds and rocked him. AJ destroyed him.
Fury - boxed two exhibitions in 3 years and lost 10 stone in weight. Yet he still won every round except the knockdowns (and somehow won the rest of the rounds he got up in!)
Wilders four managers want a payday. They know that he gets exposed against AJ, so they’ll look to fight Kownacki, Fury, Breazeale, Joyce, Ruiz - anyone except AJ. Hopefully the WBC does right by Dillian Whyte and he gives Wilder a real fight.
How are some absolute lunatics on here calling people ‘casuals’ and then claiming that Wilder has a better resume.
WHO THE **** HAS ORTIZ EVER BEATEN!!!
So Wilder has a close win over an old and overated Ortiz, and a draw (that he lost) against a returning Tyson Fury. If you think that is better than a guy with half the fights who has beaten Parker, Whyte, Breazeale, Povetkin, Klitschko and Takam then you shouldn’t be commenting on a boxing forum. Educate yourself.
Frank is Lying
When you repeat a lie over and over again you might eventually start to believe it yourself.
Jennings was not comfortably beating Rivas despite Frank saying this dozens of times leading up to the 02 card last week.
Rivas was two cards up on at the time of the stoppage.
Stop lying Frank. It’s embarrassing.
I really rate Whyte and give him huge props for how he’s rebuilt his career. But unfortunately the fight with AJ just isn’t as big right now as he seems to think it is. We’ve already seen it and he basically landed one decent punch, whilst AJ smashed him up for the rest of the 7 rounds and KO’d him.
Fury, wilder and Whyte just want to cream off Joshua’s commercial value. It’s quite blatant and obvious what’s happening.
No issue with this at all. At 37 there is very little that GGG can be taught.
He tried to leave the partnership with some dignity but Abel Sanchez has had to spit his dummy out.
I’m sure that true new financial package was still lucrative, he just wanted his unjust cut of the millions.
I like seeing boxers take control of their careers. The alternative allows a lunatic like Tunde Ajayi to pretend that he’s also in the ring on fight night as opposed to sitting safely in a corner.
I’ll support the fighter over the trainer every day of the week and twice on fight night.
Still amuses me that people are actually stupid enough to believe that 50m offer.
Wilder emailed Joshua. Not his manager or his representatives.
They then refused to give any further details until AJ publically accepted the offer. If he had, they control the show, and had already reached out to BT Sport whilst AJ is contracted to Sky. He woud’ve had to pull out and they could then crow about being ducked.
The truth is that Wilder has a padded record despite double the number of fights. Ortiz is grossly overated as a signature win and wilder has been outboxed by numerous C level opponents - watch the Washington or Molina fight if you disagree.
Truth is that Deontay is an a sloppy boxer with excellent power
Just to make the point that a few weeks ago Dicky Schaefer also said that Joe Joyce was the best Heavyweight in the world. Not the best prospect. Not the most potential. But the best, right now, period....
Breazeale being made the mandatory is absolute Bull****. How can the WBC justify that after one win over Molina. Whyte has been their number 1 go and defended their (equally bull****) silver title several times - whilst paying them sanctioning fees.
He’s also fought a much stiffer calibre of opponents.
Now this big dosser with the flabby **** is going to sit on his undeserved payday.
The WBC should do the right thing and order this for the interim title or something to force Breazeale to earn his shot. Especially after letting wilder get away without fighting any mandatory over and over. How many voluntaries does one guy get?
Who wrote this article? Surely they can’t let Hopkins get away with calling Spike O’Sullivan the ‘number 3 guy in the division’! What a load of cr*p he’s not in the top ten. And did they say that BJS is aligned with DAZN? Since when. Amateur hour
I’ll be booking Whyte vs Chisora. The last fight was absolutely amazing. I have zero interest in Frampton or Warrington. They both have a very regional support, aren’t really punchers or been involved in especially exciting fights historically.
Warrington seems like a nice guy but i’m naturally put off by any fighter who’s popularity seems fairly based on an Football crowd.
I have no issue with a fighter wanting to hype their achievements. Claressa might end up being the greatest female boxer of all time.
But there has to be at least a general understanding of the scope of her achievement. There are 32 professional female middleweight fighters in the world. If she moved up to Super middleweight there are only 22.
In the context of her opponents she is clearly a level above but the comments about her going on some kind of inter gender p4p list sound like political correctness gone insane.
HGH needs to be injected for all the jingoistic lunatics who think that Eddie has somehow projected it into Millers system.
What did he think he was being injected with?
With zero out of season testing there has to be a slight suspicion of any US boxer that doesn’t sign up to 24/7 vada testing. And no i don’t mean Wilder. He’s permanently WBC, so probably okay.
What the **** is it to do with Wilder anyway! This guy is so brainwashed it’s unreal. Hearn is most boxers biggest paydays and the best promoter in the business. Haymon sits on his arse at home whilst Hearn is out grafting, working and interviewing for his fighters.
Imagine being a Wilder fan and having to desperately pretend that Ortiz is some kind of signature victory - whilst constantly ducking Dillian Whyte.
Tell me again who Ortiz has even beaten of any note?
Well that’s total rubbish isn’t it. If Wilder had taken the Joshua fight then that supercedes his mandatory. He’s also shown no interest in fighting Whyte who has been WBC number 1 for ages.
Wilder has fought one mandatory in about 2/3 years! When Joshua fought his (Povetkin and Pulev/Takam) all the Wilder fanboys were complaining.
Miller beats Breazeale and Schwartz. Once again AJ takes on the toughest opponents whilst his main rivals just pretend to.
JKP - you are talking rubbish.
Bellew retired and was never really a heavyweight.
Dubois is a prospect
Dave Allen is a fun undercard fighter with an engaging personality - but no one sees him much above domestic level.
Audley Harrison retired years ago and was never rated as a pro.
Chisora is a tough gatekeeper, who no one sees at championship level.
Whyte however is number 1 with two governing bodies and has as strong a resume as anyone outside of AJ, Wilder and Fury. He’s a top contender and proven in the ring.
In fact you’ve spoken such obvious nonsense i’m Wondering if you’re just on a wind up?
At least we can conclusively find out who is the second best fighter in the world.
After Anthony Joshua. The baddest man on the planet. The most avoided fighter on the planet.
I don't want to hate on this but they really need to be a bit more honest about the scope of this achievement.
There are 25 middleweight professionals in women’s world boxing and 17 at super middle. So Claressa is a double champion vs 42 women over two weight divisions.
No doubt she’s the clear best around her weight but please let’s not compare this to men’s boxing. There are over 1700 professionals in Lomachenkos current division.
Let’s please be real here
So Wilders new strategy is to try and fight guys that AJ knocked out already - years ago.
Breazeale first, Whyte to be his mandatory and a desperate email to Klitschko.
Tris Dixon is normally a knowledgeable writer, so i’m Surprised by this piece. Has the PBC given him some of that Lennox money?
How can you write this article without addressing that Hearn has made 60/40 offers to both Fury and Wilder? Why is AJ the only A-side in history it appears that is supposed to pay his rivals an equal 50/50 split before they are worth it?
He also fails to mention that Hearn has said the winner of Fury v Wilder 2 is worth 50/50. So he’s being fairly realistic that once the opponent has grown their own brand to AJ levels then they deserve to be paid accordingly.
Maybe an anti-AJ article just sells better these days? Shame that we live in a world of haters!
I get that some people are fans of Wilder and/or Fury. But does that really make them so blinkered that they have to discredit Joshua’s very obvious achievements.
Miller is number 6 on boxrec and would be the fourth fighter ranked in the current top 10 that Joshua has beaten. (Would’ve been 5 but parker just dropped to 11).
Fury has beaten none.
Wilder has beaten One.
Facts are facts. Either learn them or stop commenting on a sport you know nothing about. Put away your Deontay Wilder pyjamas and grow up a little bit.
Just a quick point.
Imagine Spence moved up two weight divisions to fight someone like Charlo (who also hasn’t really beaten any of the top guys in his division).
Charlo wins a 12 round decision
Is Charlo now the p4p number 1?
Again just to point out that Claressa is the champion in a division with only 32 professional female fighters!
She’s the best because there are no opponents.
This nonsense really needs to stop
