Okay, here we are 25 days away from what is the biggest fight in boxing, and it doesn't look like the "real fans" will get the opportunity to see the fight. The announcement that the tickets would be priced from $1500 to $7500 at the press conference, and people were chomping at the bit so to speak to get the tickets ASAP...However, news circulated that there would only be 1,000 tickets available to the public. Then came the long holdout for those people to buy the tickets, which still holds to this day.
Add to the fact that the PPV screenings are limited to MGM venues (which is the norm I've heard, but the way that it was announced wasn't good) and the undercard is below what should be expected, this event sounds like a money grab for all those involved instead of something that we will be talking about for years and years to come. I have friends that are now having second thoughts of going to Vegas because they most likely won't go to the fight itself and see not much use of going just to watch a screening at Mandalay Bay or something...
How does the NSB peeps feel about this? Specifically those who planned to go or are going to Vegas?
