Because I'm a boxing fan and when I see a guy do some clever work at some point in his career, I don't completely trash him because he's lost to an undefeated champ twice. Same with Kovalev. I don't think Stiverne is near Kovalev level, but he's still shown himself to be decent in the past and I'm curious if he can pull himself together.
I refuse to be nsb trash like mlac and others who just hate, hate, hate all day. It's easy to hate on fighters. Much harder to show support to guys who take a bad loss.

Stiverne didn’t belong in the ring the other night. He wasn’t in shape and didn’t want to fight. He didn’t respect himself or the paying customers enough to give his best effort or any effort at all and that’s why nobody should pay a dime to watch him work again. It’s time to find a new job and there’s nothing wrong with that.

In all seriousness you’re absolutely right. Up here in Canada they tried to push some bum named Steve Molitor on the public. He won a title against a paper champ in the UK. They built him up here like he was an actual world champ and won a couple of fights on a major network live. First time he got in with a somewhat decent fighter he had his ass handed to him and that was the last time boxing was relevant on Canadian television.
Thank god for HBO, Showtime and Sky lol.

I don’t get the hate.
Rigo won’t be bothered by pressure or anything else. He could very well get outworked or not hold up well against Loma’s punches but pressure will not be an issue. Rigo’s slick and has seen it all. He may lose due to physical attributes but I don’t see him being mentally beaten down the same way a guy like Walters was.
Maybe I’m giving Rigo too much credit but either way I can’t wait to see that fight. Two former two time Olympic gold medalists. ****in awesome.
