I guess most posters here remember quotes of roger mayweather disrespecting countless boxers so i thought we could do the opposite and list good things he said about fighters. I know he thinks robinson is greatest of all time and heard him say on 24/7 duran is greatest latin fighter of all time. Thats what i can remember on the top of my mind.

At what time are they expected to enter the ring?

If the fight goes longer then six rounds i win and if pac wins a decision i win. Only way i lose is if the fight is stopped before the end of round six or if margarito wins by decision which seems unlikely...

Fighting Marg for a vacant belt at a weight where neither is a ranked top contender aint that impressive. If Pac would fight Martinez at 155 for the middleweight belt that would be historical. Just so we are clear, Pac would never beat Martinez but it would be really impresive if he tried.

If Froch loses against Abraham (which seems likely) and Kessler beats Green (which seems likely) They will both be qualified for the semis. Froch will still be at 2 points and the loser of Ward-Dirrel will still be at 2 points. Who will be the fourth man to qualify for the semi-finals?

Because ya'll must've forgot Hopkins is not the man to beat Jones. He's got no speed, he's got no punch, he is a bully but he is not gonna bully a man his own size. Roy is way past his prime but he can still fight old man Hopkins. Hopkins said losing to Jones at this point would be devastating and tomorrow he's gonna be devastated, mark my words.

I rewatched the fight for the first time. I haven't seen it since i saw it live. The fight was closer then what i looks like at first sight. Joe's aggressivness and swarming style makes it look like he hits more then he actually does. Roy took the first and second and then lost three in a row to Calzaghes workrate. I had Roy winning the sixth on clean effective punching especially a monster uppercut in the middle of the round. Seven was an even round. Calzaghe took the four following rounds with Roy having great problems with his vision because of the big cut he got in round seven. The last round Joe did nothing and Roy did close to nothing but scored two or three good punches.

I rewatched De La Hoya-Mayweather and i thought it funny how Floyd Sr. after the fight said "If you go by the point system Oscar won." Then i came to think of Enzo Calzaghe saying to Joe going into the last round against Hopkins "You gotta knock him out to win". Does anyone else remeber more situation like this when family or someone close to the winning fighter says that they actually lost the fight even when they got the decision? And how did Floyd jr and Joe react to their fathers saying they got beaten?

After the end of Roy's prime he has been willing to come up with and try quite a bit on different things promotionally. He and Calzaghe negotiated and put together their fight themselves, He came up with a combined boxing and MMA card (which i personally don't like). After that he campagined for a Hopkins fight where winning by KO leads to a bigger split of the purse and made it happen. I think this kind of business creativity might be a good thing for the sport of boxing. How do you guys see it, a good thing or just a way for Roy to stay in the spotlight? A little bit of both? Does boxing need more of this kind of thinking?

This is what needs to happen to see who is the man: The winner of JMM vs PBF should fight PAC. Most likely this will mean a PAC vs. PBF fight. In the meantime Mosley Should fight the winner of Cotto vs. Clottley which i hope is Cotto. When this is done the winner of the Mosley vs. Cotto rematch and the winner of Pac vs. PBF should fight for ultimate supremacy. The possible outcomes are: 1. Pac beats Floyd then Cotto or Mosley, this in my opinon would establish Pac as the fighter of the decade, one of the greatest ever. 2. Mosley beats Cotto then Pac or PBF. This would give Mosley revenge against Cotto and then add greatly to his legacy either by beating undefeated Floyd or Pac who just destroyed Floyds unbeaten record. This wouldn't be as great as alternative one with Pac on top because of Mosleys superior size but it would still mean a lot and be a great way for Mosley to end his career. 3. Cotto beats Mosley and then beats the winner of Pac vs. Floyd. This would help Cotto putting the loss to Margarito behind him and establish him as the greatest fighter at and around 147. 4.Floyd beats Pac then beats the winner of Mosley vs. Cotto. This would mean Floyd first beats a smaller man ( likely by running) and then beats an old man or a man who probably got beaten with plaster. Floyd would still be undefeated and i would give him some credit. I think the likely result if this happens is that Mosley comes out on top provided he ain't to old to beat Floyd. What are your opinons?

As Roy didn't seem able to make the adamek fight he should beat Lacy and then challenge Froch for his SMW belt. It's a risky fight but i think it would be entertaining.

I see it as highly unlikely. Holyfield can take tremendous punishment and should not be stopped by that one dimensional Neanderthal even if he's only a shell of his former self. Still you never know, the guy is 46 after all. Neither Valujev or Holyfield are prone to get cut either so i see the fight going the distance. what are your views? Reason im asking besides the fun of discussing is that im planning to put some money on the fight going the full twelve rounds.
