The whole division?? Or do you mean the fighters that were on his former promotional company that was owned by a guy who owed him money? Those guys? To say he ducked the "whole" division is misleading. I am not going to get into a debate over who ducked who and why because that can be done to any fighters resume. I am not defending Floyd but to put a spotlight on Floyd's career and disregard the thousands of other fighters who might have missed an opponent here and there is not objective at all. As I previously stated there are numerous reasons why certain fighters don't fight and being "afraid" isn't one of them.
The top of the ww division. He ducked pwill as well.
Floyd has so infiltrated the minds of the haters they can't sleep unless they make new threads about him every hour.
We understand it'll break your heart when Floyd retires. Wipe your tears, cry no more.
.
Naaah. It would be a great day when the grand ducker ducks boxing for good. Good riddance to the chronic coward.
He'd whoop Arguello and Pryor btw
Hell to the N-O.
Pryor will overwhelm a scared child.
Arguello would be 50/50. But Floyd would be too scared to fight him doe.
Nice try but you actual have to win against the best fighters on your resume.
I'd give cotto the edge. Prime Shane Mosley, trumps all of Floyd's ww win. Easily.
I don't get it. Why would he duck those guys? Many lesser skilled guys than Mayweather were competitive with all of the names you listed. I am of the belief that the "duck" term is the most overused term in the sport. I also feel that no fighter is afraid of another fighter, especially when their job is to fight. There are numerous reasons why a fight between guys can't be made, this has happened throughout the history of the sport and "being afraid" isn't one of them so why Mayweather is being consistently singled out by those who either hate or dislike him is confusing and kind of tasteless and disrespectful to guys who have spent all or half of their lives fighting in a boxing ring. I'm just trying to objective here. Carry on gentlemen :boxing:
If you really are in denial how Floyd ducked the whole ww division in the past. I really don't know what to say to you man
Still debating with these idiots? Just say May is a coward and a ducker while Pac is one of the greatest, an ATG. It will make their day. Tomorrow, one of them (my bet could be straggler again or spoon23) will post another topic concerning May again, and the cycle continues. On and on, on and on . . . Sometimes, I want to question the wisdom of GOD in creating such low lives.
Really now. Stop with your personal attack and debate boxing.:bottle:
People that floyd is richer then list them all:
You
99 percent of Pacroid fans
Bob arum
Oscar
1. What has that anything to do with the topic?
2.who cares.?
3. Lol I'm a boxing fan not a PAC fan.
Conclusion: you fail. Lol
Before Floyd officially retired, P Will got out boxed by Carlos Quintana. But you are saying Floyd ducked him?
Who pwill kt do in the rematch in round 1. What's your point.?
Floyd wouldn't have had the option of ducking because he wouldn't have been on top in the 80's. That's no knock on his talent, but there were some beasts back then and they didn't fight cautiously like guys do now. Today's fighters suit Floyd's style better.
Floyd would have started ducking in the 80s but he wouldn't be undefeated or he wouldn't have the nerve to call himself TBE
U and the thread starter are the most ignorant I've read so far. Every single thing u say makes me shake my head.
How so?
Floyd has ducked much lesser competition. It's no stretch really.
Don't get me wrong i think he didn't want P.will and Sergio but who did? Sergio called out Floyd,Pac,Cotto none of them wanted him. No WW wanted P.will because of his size. Floyd fought Mosley when people said he was sacred after the Marquez win. Even Roach came on espn and laughed at Floyd saying he wont fight Mosley but someone like Paulie Malignaggi, yet thats the same Mosley they wanted to drain to 142 or no fight. So Floyd gets no credit for that win? Same Roach who said we got Cotto and Delahoya at the right time when they fought Pac. I feel its a double standard with Floyd. Even with the catch weight with Canelo people knew it was going to be at 152, but did that stop people from picking Canelo to win?
floyd beating a weight drained canelo means absolutely nothing. blame the nationalistic support for canelo. look at how alvarez is struggling with his weight.
Lets say Floyd did duck all those fighters, why does everybody act like he's the only one who does it? Some of those people in the 09 WW class ducked too like Pac and Cotto.
because he ducked an ACTUAL boxing division to preserve his 0.
Not sure how prime he was as he had already taken four L's by the time Cotto got to him. If you think the losses don't matter and considered Mosley to still be at his best, then you also have to consider how mayweather fought Mosley when he was the consensus P4P number 3.
Mosley won against a tailor made come forward brawler who was visibly shaken by the glove controversy. Forrest loss was always a stylistic nightmare for Shane.
lmao well if he did fight them id favor him. srl prob beats him tho
That's a big "if" there. Lol
Depends on what type of gloves mayweather has in store for ray.
Tailor made? If memory serves me correct, I believe Margariro was the betting favorite in that fight and was the champion, people thought Mosley was going to get destroyed.
nope. Mosley eats come forward "mexican style" brawlers for breakfast.
Canelo wasnt weight drained LOL. Name a fighter in history that can fight that version of Canelo and stand in the pocket without being hissed? Just one please.
Pernell sweet pea Whitaker. Next question. No?:boxing:
Then why wasn't he the betting favorite? I remember the build up to that fight, people thought Margarito was going to run through Mosley. Obviously Vegas thought so as well
they were underestimating shane thats why. wasnt floyd suppose to ko maidana?
Forgive me but I assume you are referring to cotto win over Mosley? My bad if my assumption is incorrect.:boxing:
Yes nastradamus you're correct.hands down.
