Jenna: When people think of Mayweather, they say how impossible it is in today's boxing to make a Mayweather vs. Pacquaio fight. What do you think about the difference between then and now in terms of making these big match-ups?
Tommy Hearns: Now these guys are more willing to fight each other. They're willing to get in there, mix it up and make that money. But back then, in my time, they wasn't really too willing to get in there. Even if the money was right, they weren't willing to get in there because they didn't want to suffer the loss.

its "your posting" stupid b1tch. :bottle:
No it isn't. If you're going to resort to being a grammar nazi as a way to win an argument, at least get it right
Not many at all, because the source of making the Top Top money than was fighting the best. These guys were not fighting each other just for fun.
Today things are different way more sources to still make Top money.

Floyd wouldn't have had the option of ducking because he wouldn't have been on top in the 80's. That's no knock on his talent, but there were some beasts back then and they didn't fight cautiously like guys do now. Today's fighters suit Floyd's style better.
He wouldnt be on top? GTFO!! Before this 38 yr old version of Floyd fought Marcos, EVERYONE always said Floyd would be one of the best back then.
Who was on the level of Floyd back then? Benitez? I tell you what, who in HISTORY was on the level of Floyd? Just being the complete fighter; IQ, Skills, defense, offense, accuracy, adjusting, pocket fighter, rope a doper, inside, outside. What fighter in HISTORY was this sharp?
Not no damn SRL, SRR, Herns. They are all great in THEIR era, but they were not better than Floyd. The Floyd who fought Canelo would be too strong, and technically sound for tall skinny azz fighters like SRL.
Utter BS! Keep making those excuses.
I know what i am looking at in that Photo - a beat fighter. Ortiz was a beaten man before he ever got in that ring, and it's not the first time he's lost his head in a match. he did it with Maidana, with Floyd and with Colazzo. It is a shame Floyd fights such bums and people thinks he's great.
Ortiz having mental Breakdown.

If you feel Ortiz is a beat man thats your opinion. But the FACTS, after Floyd fought Mosley Ortiz was a VERY dangerous fight because Mosley was the first legitamate ww that Floyd had face but he was old remember?
Ortiz was in his prime, southpaw, 164lbs, 24 yrs old, and a volume puncher. He was number 2 at ww when Floyd fought him. Like I said before Im not going out of my way to pretend that everyone Floyd fights is too young or too old. Im not doing the folklore thing.
I wish Pac would fight some of those old and young foes. This dude RARELY fights someone in the top 10 let alone top 3, and I HATE how yall worshipped him for it.
If we wanna say Floyd ducked Pac, its a fact. But lets keep talking facts. Lets not do the folklore thing because its SHIESTY AS HELL the way Floyd gets treated. This dude can FIGHT and been doing good his last few fights great prime opponents too.
When Pac fights Mike Alvarado everyone will worship him for it. Its sickening dude.
Pernell sweet pea Whitaker. Next question. No?:boxing:
Pernell Whitaker can stand in front of Canelo and walk him down without getting hissed? He cant even last for 5 rounds LOL.
I had to edit to give you more options. Willie Pep could change his entire fighting style and dominate Floyd's foes without getting hissed? Could Benitez do it? I dont think so bub.

Floyd would have started ducking in the 80s but he wouldn't be undefeated or he wouldn't have the nerve to call himself TBE

Canelo wasnt weight drained LOL. Name a fighter in history that can fight that version of Canelo and stand in the pocket without being hissed? Just one please.

Canelo would beat the hardest hitting welterweight of all time.? A weight drained Canelo at that? Really?

No...he just should have fought a real fighter.
WTF is this? That poor SOB is already beat and he hasn't even made it to the ring. What a Farce.

Ortiz, Canelo, Ghost, all real fighters. If Floyd fought Pac, and didnt fight Ortiz, Canelo, and Ghost at the time he fought them, you and me BOTH would call him a ducker. Sorry bro, Im not going out of my way to act like once Floyd fights you, your a bum. Yea Cotto was damaged goods, but he is the only one. Mosley was old, but at the time, if no Pacman, Mosley was the one to fight. Im good on all of his recent foes, he been doing good to me.
Still debating with these idiots? Just say May is a coward and a ducker while Pac is one of the greatest, an ATG. It will make their day. Tomorrow, one of them (my bet could be straggler again or spoon23) will post another topic concerning May again, and the cycle continues. On and on, on and on . . . Sometimes, I want to question the wisdom of GOD in creating such low lives.
Really now. Stop with your personal attack and debate boxing.:bottle:
He may duck Pryor, but Floyd is too sharp of a fighter for Herns, SRL, Duran. All of them have styles where he would pick them apart almost easily. I know some of you like to use the worst version of Floyd in a fantasy fight. Why would I put the Floyd who fought Last week, or the Floyd who fought Oscar in a fantasy fight?
The Floyd who walked down Canelo would beat the snot out of tall skinny azz fighters like Herns and SRL. His technique and strength is too much for them. Yea Herns is tall and has a jab.
But Floyd has defense, accuracy, I.Q. Versitilty, can adjust on the fly. Fight off the ropes, pocket, midrange, inside. For the past 18 yrs Floyd has been doing some amazing things in the ring that NONE of those fighters have done.
But yea Pryor, he may duck him. I dont see him looking at Herns and SRL as a threat stylistically. Remember he went up to SRL's face and told him that he would kick his azz easy.
Canelo would beat the hardest hitting welterweight of all time.? A weight drained Canelo at that? Really?
That's the thing you have reasons as to why it happened for Pac, but make Floyd seem like he fought the most shot version of fighters, that's crazy to me.
Sergio vs Cotto is for the lineal 160 title at 159? i hate catch weights period if its for the titles.
Exactly Floyds the a side like Oscar but then why criticize him now about the gloves when he, made Mosley, Ortiz, Canelo wear them obliviously he wants a advantage. But Morales does it to Pac, Danny Garcia, Maidana but hes still the Legendary fighter. Roach wants advantages for Pac too. He said he fought Delahoya and Cotto at the right time, and wanted the Mosley fight at 142 and Mosley asked him he fought oscar at 147 Roach said your not Oscar Delahoya implying he was still a good fighter. Oscar also weighted less then Pac at fight night. Do you not see the double standards?
