ROFL at Hamed being overrated, he was consensus king of his division.
Agreed, Hamed was definitely not overated. Outside factors and his attitude let him down in the end. Had the pleasure of watching him live a few times and boy could he deliver a shot, devastating power imo.
I still dont understand why a boxer like usyk, with one HW fight is a mandatory challenger. I'm slowly losing interest in boxing, unless AJ fights Wilder or Fury in 2020 I'm done man.
Not a fan of AJ but I dont think his chin is as bad as people are making out. He's been hurt a few times and Ruiz did stop him but it's not like he's been sparked out with a single punch? I see a lot of HW fighters go down after a barrage of punches. Some recover some dont I dont think that makes you chinny, well, not in the Amir Khan sense, now he is glass jawed.
In his prime he liked hurting people, I'd give it 3 rounds max. In 10 years time when asked to give your top ten heavies will Ruiz be in there? Very much doubt it.
Loved watching Hatton and I think he may have troubled the best a bit more had he waited until he retired before eating all them pies and drinking all them beers. Never really lived the life of a dedicated fighter and IMO it cost him.
Wilder is such a bellend. He bangs on about killing someone in the ring because of his awesome power, he could just as easily be knocked the fu** out and cabaged for life or worse. Oh, the bitter irony if that happened.
Gotta love some of the posters on here. Criticise Wilder for having no technique, no game plan and winning with power shots, then criticise AJ for having a game plan, technique but no power. Lol.
Interesting thread...
Who needs Logan v KSI...
Keyboard Warrior Super Series Catchweight contest....
Packet of pork scratchings and half a pint of larger shandy to the winner. I'm on the fence for this one, to close to call. Everyone has an O to lose.
I dont like Wilder, his personality and the trash he talks dosent appeal to me, I think hes a complete bellend, that said, boxing is about winning and he wins. How he wins is down to personal taste, skills wise he is lacking and i dont think there can be much argument about that, but his power does make up for his failings in the technique department. If he beats fury and then fights the winner of Ruiz/AJ and beats them, I for one would have to concede hes been the best of his era, albeit not a particularly talent laden era.
It was a great performance,” Dubois said. “I did what I had to do, I worked the jab and everything I did in training I put into practice. I think after every fight I am improving.”
Really? IMO you only improve when you have been tested, had to adapt mid fight or had your weaknesses exposed so you can take it back to the gym and work on them. What has he really learnt from this fight? Knocking out bums only increases the size of your bank account and sod all else.
Khan and Brook. Don’t matter how many times they get battered. They just don’t go away.
That's because they have big balls, small brains maybe yes, but when they retire nobody will be questioning they're resume. Better to fail against the best than never fight the best and live your life a lie, like Mayweather and co.
Finally, a proper contest, two good fighters going at it. Personally, I thought Taylor edged it but I would happily watch a rematch because it was that close.
I think people just need to accept that Wilder is better than Ortiz, it dont matter how many rounds your ahead if you then get knocked out. He may have been able to fight on or he may not have, but he was never going to win this fight. I'm not a massive fan of this ref but I hope he sensed that Ortiz was gone and to continue would have been pointless.
You talk shet bout him talking bout death than you wish it upon him :nonono: So it really isn't about him talking that shet, its about you dudes with hate in your hearts.
I didn't wish it upon him fella, I dont wish it upon anybody. I dont hate him I just dont like him. I was just pointing out it could easily happen.
I'm not a fan of either fighter and I really dislike Khan but..
Brook took on arguably the best middleweight at the time, going up two weight divisions and then followed that up by fighting arguably the best welterweight around. Fracturing both eye sockets in the process. True, he was found wanting on both occasions but it seems a bit unfair to be labelled a clown and a joke. Still, we all entitled to our opinions
BJS, the little rascal, keeping himself relevant during these dark times. Tbf he probably does smack the misses around when she gets a bit lippy, c'mon a show of hands, who's given they're other half a straightner for talking during the football?.........Just me then.
Worlds gone crazy, you cant make 'bad taste' jokes anymore incase you offend people.
If I had a micro *****, I dont btw, it's like a babies arm, I would not get offended by a group of girls giggling next to me while showing pictures of some maggot di*k mofo one of them hooked up with last night. I have thick skin and a sense of humour, something that seems to be in short supply these days.
