It was a good match for Pacman, though I would have liked to have seen more body shots from the fourth round on. Prob. would have ended the night earlier for Diaz. As for Diaz himself, he seems like a decent guy but with that hellish beating he took, I don't think his chin will ever be the same. Much like what happened to L. Andrade after the Kessler fight.
Fight looks interesting.
I think this fight is part of the undercard that's actually televised for the Pavlik vs Lockett main event. De Leon has alot of power but has a very ugly southpaw style, when he misses with those left hands, man does that look ugly:puppy_dog
I don't know guys, DLH ruined his whole image to me that I just don't care what he does anymore. Funny thing is he was never a favorite of mine, but after all the hype of the floyd fight, I just don't care.
Current favs. are: Pacman, JMM, Kelly Pavlik, and Cristian Mijares.
These are simply in the order that I was introduced to them (1st time I saw them fight) not a ranking of 1 through 4.
I don't necessarily think these guys are p4p the greatest fighters or that their even the best in their division.
Pacman for his ferocity and determination against adversity (saw him for the first time against the legend Morales 1) and truly got me into boxing.
JMM for his heart and determination (saw him on youtube against Pacman after I heard about their draw).
Kelly for his will and power (saw him for the first time against Edison Miranda).
Mijares for his beautiful style of boxing and aggressive defence (saw him for the first time against Arce, but I didn't become a fan of his until recently).
Thx for the post dude.
I generally agree with the man on the right, however I think they did the first fight for the money, not really to set up a rematch necessarilly but that was the near inevitable outcome, unless Forbes had knocked DLH out but that was close to impossible.
"Money" Mayweather and DLH knew what the hell they were doing in the first fight. DLH made Floyd look good enough for the win but they both collected their paychecks.
I've seen fighters on free TV that deserve those kind of purses, more than DLH and Floyd deserve them that night, but I guess you have to build a name for yourself if you want to be able to pull this kind of shit off .
I'd expect something like this from Floyd, but DLH is dead to me since that fight. I bet they were laughing all the way to the bank. Fuckers...:fuckyou:
AGREED TO SOME BUT OUR HAGGLER WAS ROBBED BY OUR HEARNS AND OUR HEARNS HITS LIKE A FEATHERWIGHT
Margarito fought like shit against Williams.
That was the first time I saw Margarito and instead of seeing the Margarito hyped by my family I saw Margarita, some bitch who doesn't throw punches  .
I think Margarito is sincere in saying he's back to his old self (what that looks like I have no idea), after all he did knockout some lamb after the Williams fight and Cintron after that (but i haven't seen either of these fights on the tube or anything).
I don't like Cotto, I'm not saying he's not a fighter, but I'm pulling for Margarito.
Either way it will be a great fight!
At least Oscar is still willing to fight the best, while collecting a handsome paycheck at the same time. Too bad we cant say the same for the sports so-called pfp #1.
What good is it fighting the best, if you're not fighting to win.
If all you want is a paycheck and people are willing to pay, then hey it's other people's money, it won't be mine.
Lets see it
I love this fight. Great style matchup. Two speed guys who are somewhat unorthadox, and willing to engage.
Undercard sucks though (typical Golden Boy), so I'll be Sopcasting it.
I here that brotha. I don't hate paying for cable/sat. I hate paying for channels I wouldn't watch and paying extra fo channels I must have! PPV is a gay concept but I'm also broke :ugh: .
I hate Rocky Juarez (the puncher, I don't know him personally), for as long as I've seen him, he loses fights to guys who can box him and that are bigger names than he is. In his fight before JMM, he got outboxed and still won a huge decision against a no-name.
I liked Mosley a lot, but when I saw him against Cotto, I saw someone who wanted to earn his paycheck and give a good show but didn't intend on winning. Just a feeling I have.
As for Judah, I really didn't like him after the shit he pulled against Floyd "Money" Mayweather. After I saw the fight with Cotto, I was more sympathetic towards Judah.
I'm not justifying what Zab did to Mayweather, he did that out of frustration because of Floyd's defence.
However, the bullshit that Cotto did was that of a coward. Judah rocked him HARD with that perfect left uppercut, after that he gave him a low blow. Though it was smarter than taking a knee and less risky than trying to fight him off, this significantly weakened the fragile Judah psychologically. In the 2nd round BAM! Another, more devastating low blow that critically and effectively just shut down Judah psychologically and Judah got scared and was dead for the rest of the fight.
The fact that Judah kept on fighting after the low blows and not settle for a loss by abandonement is why HBO decided to keep him as a PPV headliner, though in this case I think having Mosley as his opponent helps a lot  .
In this fight I'm going for Judah because I believe he fights to win and because he is all too human and far from perfect as his fragile mind tries to grip adversity.
I Agree.
Yeah I think B-Hop will be stopped too, Kelly's one of my bois and though I think he will knock out a tremendous fighter past his expiration date, Kelly will likely grow a bigger fan base especially if his next fight is against Cal-slappy.
B-Hop should hang it up after this fight, even if he's able to provide a shocking upset. The man has done enough in the sport, I just hope B-Hop himself appreciates his own accomplishments and is able to walk away.
-Jay Nady was at the other end of the ring for almost the whole fight up until that knockdown. I guess he figured these guys were perfect gentleman boxers.
-Marquez was mauling MAB for most of that knockdown round. With 10 seconds left in the round and Marquez's over aggressiveness AT THE VERY END, MAB threw a punch that knocked JMM down.
-MAB then stood over JMM and cocked his hand back. When MAB felt Nady's hand reach for MAB's fist, MAB instinctively threw the punch. I guess Nady didn't get firm control of MAB's fist as he reached for it as he ran from across the other side of the ring to try to get to MAB in time.
This ruined the whole fight for me, man it was epic up until MAB threw the punch while JMM was down. Who knows how it would have turned out...all I know is I won my bet! HAHAHAHA. GO JMM! I want to see another fight with my other #1 PACMAN!
I think Margarito needs a little while longer to recover from the fight against Cotto. I mean sure he was never hurt but he took alot of solid shots to the head. I wouldn't want Margarito to rush anything no matter how easily he may defeat Clottey if this fight or any other fight happens.
I like Fight Night Round 2 (on XBOX, my friend's, I never owned one myself) the best. I always picked Pacman and I feel the game was fast paced and that kept the excitement level high.
Fight Night Round 3 (X360)was too slow, prob. because of all the horsepower needed for those great character models. And it was also way too unbalanced. Again, everytime I would pick Pacman and I move way faster when fighting the heavyweights which makes sense BUT all of the shots I landed had the power to knock them out in the first round and that's playing against the HARD comp. and live people.
In FN Round 2 it was extremely difficult to try to knockout a HW computer on HARD and near impossible to do it in the first round.
Mijares FTW!
My boi Mijares is going to take this one via TKO or a HUGE UD! I don't post much but this is what is going to happen: Mijares' aggressive defense and speed in hands and feet will be the whole story of this fight. I will prob. make it to Carson for this one, it would be my 1st live fight! Mijares is my #4 guy (my guys are ranked in chronological order in terms of when I saw them fight for the first time).
#1:Pacman (I wish he wasn't fighting Faga-Hoya)
#2:JMM
#3:Kelly Pavlik
#4:Mijares
