I'm sorry but I have never been sold on Pavlik. He just looks way too basic of a fighter to me, but I don't think Abraham would try to outbox him either. It's early and I might be a little hung up on the ease with which he destroyed Miranda tonight, but right now, gun to my head, I take Abraham on a late round TKO, say round 11.
he is a basic fighter but he is tough as nails and has more heart than any boxer out there. when you watch a pavlik fight, you know you're in for a real good one.
Abraham won me over. His "I like America" "American people nice" comments in broken English comments were funny. He definatley made a big statement for himself, very good for boxing. I still think Pav would win, he would find a way to hurt AA when he turtles up on the ropes. Edison Miranda really exposed himself as nothing more than a brawler who can easily get counterpunched.
I picked Pavlik on points, could be a great fight though, id love to see it.

For as much as i like Pavlik (not on his nuts but totally recon his skills and respect him) i have to say he can't beat Abraham yet, based on what i have seen from both of those fighters. Abraham is a bit more complete and if Taylor could hurt Pav, so can Abraham, with the difference Abraham is always in top physical conditions and with a good gameplan.
Unlike Miranda, Pavlik knows how to be effective from a distance. He's also starting to throw that right to the body as you can see at the end of Taylor rematch and Lockett fight.
It's a hell of a fight though because Abraham has legit power in both hands, and a tighter defense than anyone Kelly's faced. Right now I'd lean towards Pavlik.
I definitely can't see Abraham getting stopped, let alone getting knocked out. The 1st Miranda fight proves that to a point but I can't see him beating Pavlik either.
Pavlik's all action, pretty much all the time. Abraham's defence is good but he is there to hit and Pavlik will take advantage. I just think Pavlik will land more than Abraham.
If anyone's gonna get knocked out it's Pavlik but i don't think it'll come to that.
Pavlik by close but unanimous decision.
As a boxing fan I'm just glad to see Abraham prove what a great fighter he is and set up this great fight.
When this fight happens it's us boxing fans that are the real winners.
When will you kids learn? Pavlik is NOT knocking AA out.
Abraham will be the betting favorite, because oddsmakers aren't ignorant like you kids.
Pavlik will be the betting favorite, for sure.
A great matchup, Pavlik has very good power and throws punches in bunches, while Abraham prefers to stay in his guard and throw one punch at a time. I would make for a very exciting fight, and I would lean towards Pavlik, but Abraham has an excellent chin and the ability to hurt Pavlik.
Should be very interesting.
If Miranda can break AAs jaw like that. Pavlik can knock his head clean off.
Good reasoning . . . :nonono::nonono::nonono:
Cracking a jawbone is a freak event.

Abrahams style isn't good against Pavlik. The short spurts wont work against Pavliks high workrate. THe shell like defence isnt good either. Pavlik can punch around it with his accuracy and through it with his power. I can see him knock Arthurs right hand away with a double jab then through the cross down the middle to hurt Abraham
I would favor Pavlik by decision at this stage. Abraham is very tight defensively but his shell style will let Kelly go to work too much and possibly pick off some very good shots. I see Pavlik winning many rounds by just jabbing and banging at his guard while Abraham waits.
What I see is a fight where a man who has a solid defense(doesn't protect his body very well) and a punchers chance. Round is completely right. You have a boxer puncher vs a puncher. AA doesn't throw punches unless the other fighter slows down after the combinations, I was watching a lot of his high lights, he stays in a defensive shell. Well when you see him open up it isn't until he is a given an opportunity. Well Pavlik is always working a narley jab and those wide punches aren't gonna land on a fighter who beats you to the punch in fact that is going to be a huge disadvantage for AA, he will have to change his style a bit to beat pavlik, he needs to develop a straighter punching style.
