Did anyone else think that Loma was actually in danger of getting dropped in the 12th last night? I was starting to think it might happen. Loma knew he had to make up ground so he started taking risks and it looked to me like Lopez was close to dropping him

Saturday will be a great day for sports, especially in my home state of Georgia. We have Georgia slated to battle Alabama in college football. Both teams are undefeated and ranked #2 and #3 in the country respectively. Also we have the Atlanta Braves trying to finish off the LA Dodgers for a trip to the world series and as if that wasnt enough to occupy a mans time for a day we have the eagerly anticipated battle between Loma and Lopez! My only regret is that I believe all 3 events will be on at roughly the same time. I guess I'll have to divide my attention between the TV, the computer, and the radio. Good sports, good food, good beer = great fuxn times!

Ok people many of you probably remember 2004 when DLH was on a collision course with Bernard Hopkins. DLH first fought Felix Sturm in a tune up of sorts. I think Sturm surprised many in the boxing world by putting up a stiff fight and in many peoples eyes should have been declared the victor. The decision was given to DLH and I'm sure that it was because a DLH loss would have derailed the Hopkins fight somehow. A lot of money would have been lost because many fans would have lost some level of interest. With that being said do you think that the judges were instructed before the fight to give DLH the decision even if they believed Sturm was the winner?

Which fight(s) did you want to see the most that didn't happen or happened too late? For me I wish Mayweather would have fought Pacquiao much earlier. Ditto for Bhop and Roy Jones Jr. Both fights should and could have went down as some of the greatest ever but in both cases they waited way too late. They should have struck while the iron was hot! Spence and Crawford appear to be headed for the same outcome. They will either never fight or they will fight after one or both take an L and the fight will be tarnished

What exactly is considered a power punch as far as compubox is concerned? Hooks and uppercuts? Or can a power punch also be a jab that snaps a fighter's head back sharply?

I watched a video on youtube today that was basically a compilation of about 5 press conferences and various pre fight footage. I've noticed that Floyd likes to talk a lot of trash obviously. Sometimes his talk seems to get disrespectful spiteful. I'm sure a good bit of it is strategic, a means of gaining a psychological edge and getting under his opponent's skin. Is this all part of the strategy or do you guys think he really feels that level of disrespect and contempt for his opponents?

In this sport of boxing sometimes we see very surprising results. I'm not talking just about robbery either. I'll give 3 examples of fights where I think the results are damned near inexplicable. 1. Mosely Vs. Forrest Why did Forrest seem to have Mosely's number? I thought clearly Mosely was the superior fighter but I guess not, at least in those fights 2. Roy Jones Jr Vs Tarver Again I feel like RJJ was the better overall fighter, what happened? 3. Bhop Vs Taylor? C'mon! Bhop dominated the MW division for 10 years straight. Taylor deposed Bhop and then almost immediately flamed out! Wtf? What do you guys think happened and can you name some more "surprise results" that probably shouldn't have happened?
