Obvious De La Hoya Has The Better Resume. Even His Losses Were Good Fights, With The Excption Of The B-hop Fight. Imo, I'd Rather Watch A Dlh Fight Then A Pbf Fight. And No I Would'nt Pay To See The Rematch. One Thing Is For Sure Dlh's Name Will Always Be Bigger And More Recognized Long After He Retires. Imo Pbf's Name Will Be Remembered, But In A Negative Way For The Most Part.
No thats how you will remember him.
Most will remember Mayweather as the better of two great boxers.
At 147, if we consider that Cotto has already beat 3 of the top ten, 2 of which he destroyed, then I would have to say that Mayweather has the best chance.
And Mosely would not in any way shape or form beat Cotto in a rematch.
Right, because he was so dominant in the first match...
Holy shit Duddy is crazy! He's taken some ridiculous shots. If Smichet could punch, Duddy would be in A&E. The guys got no defense.
Pavlik will destroy him!!
Pac got a gift last night.
Yes it was fairly close but Marquez should have got the decision, especially seeing as he won the last two rounds.
Thats twice Marquez has been robbed against Pac now.
I feel no one really cares except for people scared for Spence in regards to Crawford.
Winner promised first crack at the three-belt unified titlist. For the people that see Spence fighting Crawford next.
Crawford has been fighting bums and washed-up fighters for years.
Ugas is better than Benavidez and Horn who are garbage, and Khan and Brook who have been finished for some time.
Crawford can have no complaints when he has been cruising along taking easy paychecks.
Roch is not in the position to give financial advice, that's Arum and Konz' job. We all know that Mayweather got a 10mill guarantee when he fought JMM and Pacquiao got 7mill for the Cotto fight. With that said, why on earth would Mayweather accept another 10mill for a Pacquiao fight? Yes for Pacquiao it makes sense since its more money than he made with Cotto. On the other hand Pacquiao also wants a lot of money and that was proven in the Hatton fight. So, where else is he going to get this much money.
Roach needs to concentrate on what he does and let the other members of the team do their jobs. He’s a f#@king trainer. On the fight Roach should know better than to compare the De la Hoya fight to this one, Pacquiao is not De la Hoya. If Roach failed with De la Hoya what makes him think he can do it with Pacquiao, a very open fighter. See unlike Cotto, Floyd will stick to what works against Pacquiao and the fight will be done and dusted. Look at round 1 of the Cotto-Pacquiao fight to see what works. Cotto made the mistake of slugging with Pacquiao and that’s the reason for the knock down in round 4. With Floyd there won’t be any slugging so you can expect as a$$ whooping for 12 rounds.
This.
I see the fight being competitive for around four rounds, before Floyd takes control with his jab to the body (which he'll use to keep Pac off-balance) and lead rights hands. Every time Pac tries to unload his left hook, Floyd will either cover up with his high guard (something Cotto didnt do nearly enough) or drill Pac with a straight right hand.
Mayweather is master of spacing and timing and his 5 inch reach advantage spells disaster for Pacquaio. He will come to the ring with a clearly-defined gameplan like he always does and pick Pacquaio apart. Even allowing for tactical adjustments, he has shown he is more capable of making these when needed (Judah, DLH).
Does anyone actually think this is a competitive fight?
Groves will be done in a few round's, if that.
Agreed, Smith is much fresher and will stop Groves.
