AJ should take the blame for his lose. I did warn him before his fight. Andy Ruiz Jr came prepared and he knocked him down 4 times, it's no fluke. AJ needs to show and act like a champ.

I strongly think that there won't be any Wilder/Fury rematch before the unification. Fury is just promoting his next fight. Did we hear anything from Shelly Finkel? He always addresses the media whenever there is an update.
Smh only thing worse than a sore loser is his dumbass fans making conspiracies.
Just for your info, I am not a Wilder fan. I read this article so thought why not get some opinion on it fro the experts. By the way, thank you for your contribution. Enjoy your day.
Fury might be the leader of a mob for all I know. I still think he KOed Wilder in a fair fight and did nothing wrong in that fight. He was the better man in the ring that night all fair and legal.
Fully agree with you. I have watched the fight live and Fury gave Wilder a good beating in the ring. :boxing:
I wanted to see a good revenge from the champ who was knocked out in the earlier fight. He promised the fans that he will win in a devastating fashion and will be very destructive. Now he is talking about the 3rd match with Ruiz. God knows if we will see AJ vs DW.
Anyone here thinks Wilder has a chance after the battering in March?
Yes, anything can happen in the heavyweight and Fury had also said numerous time that you can't give Wilder any chance. It can be an upset. It's not always a better person wins in Heavyweight. We have seen that so many times.
When a boxer is interviewed and he is pointing out the weakness in his opponent, to me that is not a trash talk. The boxers have a right to assess their opponent if that gives them confidence, win or loss. So may i ask that did Ruiz do anything wrong, Josh? Isn't this an amateur competition? NO Josh, just don't be bothered if the comments don't sit well with you. And you don't need to pre-plan breaking an opponents bone. You may as well plan to win your fight. The road doesn't end with this fight. You have a long way to go so mind what you spit out.
Yeah, I believe you. Now all the vultures are out to get their cut of that $30 million he made last month. The next thing you know somebody will be out to sue him for taking him off the streets while he was still on skid row :lol1:
:haha::haha:
Ortiz is also a much better boxer than Wilder which makes him more than a one punch threat.
If he gets to the cards, he wins 120-108 x3.
Exactly! But people on this forum sees his fights and still make fun of his age. And some don't even want to admit that Ortiz had been avoided for a long time. Some of the top 10's in WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO could have challenged him few years ago but no they waited for him to get old and now saying he is 40 years old.
Just read today that Mr Nigel Benn is coming out of retirement at 55.
I agree life ban for any offenders will help stop the athletes from cheating as well as wiping it out from our sports. People pay to watch certain sports people perform but not to watch the backups!
So many contradicting statements by fans on this forum regarding "A side"? When AJ had all the belts he was the "A side" now when AR has all the belts and AJ has non, still, he is the "A side". So if AJ loses again in a rematch, just saying, and a deal with DW, TF or DWhyte is being made will AJ still be the "A side"? As per some fans here i think he should be, because he fills up the stadium in UK, right? Please note, i am not against AJ, he is a good fighter but some of his fans are stubborn. He didn't ask his fans to behave like that. Hope AJ becomes "2 time world champion in the near future. He is a great guy but his handlers? You make a guess.
Every week I hear a new development will take place from the promoters of this fight. here are the few headlines: -
8 Dec 2020 - Hearn Aims To Finalize Fury-Joshua Deal in Coming Weeks ...
12 Jan - Fury-Joshua: Bob Arum hoping to finalize fight in coming weeks
31 Jan - Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua: Eddie Hearn expects announcement in weeks "as early as the first half of February"
Now ,there is another article with the same contents. Please make the deal happen and then do the respectable thing in announcing the fight, until such time, please make other fights for the fans. Personally, I am not too worried about Fury/Joshua as it is being planned for June taking into consideration the arbitration between team Wilder and team Fury. We will get to see that fight in June but before that the mess between Fury/Wilder needs to be cleared. So far the next good fight in Heavyweight we can talk about is Brezeale vs Walin and Whyte vs Pov. Is there any other?
It wasn't the question whether the deal was a bad thing or not.
The question was whether the poster can kindly explain how a 3 fight $120m offer including Breazeale is "an embarrassing lowball"
Perhaps you can help him out?
Allow me to say something on this. I am no Wilder fan but a boxing fan in general. The following is not a hearsay but Wilder said this. The three-fight deal that Wilder was offered by DAZN had him fighting Joshua twice, and Dominic Breazeale. Wilder wanted DAZN to let him know exactly what Joshua would be getting for a fight against him so that he could verify that he’s getting a 50-50 deal with the British heavyweight. Since DAZN wouldn’t tell him with Joshua would be getting for a unification fight against him, Wilder decided to reject the offer. Now the question is, as fans how can we make that fight happen?
Looking at what James Douglas, Hasim Rahiman and Andy Ruiz have done previously, I believe all Heavyweights need to be careful. One punch can change the scenario. It's good that Deontay is taking this fight seriously and showing Ortiz some respect. All the boxers fight to entertain us but at the end of the day they all risk their lives. Fans should be careful with their comments. Did anyone of us new that Mr Day, Mr Santillan, Mr Dadashev and Mr Stanchov were fighting their last fight in 2019? No, So please!
Hey dad, don't blame the team, please! I had one too many before the fight. I drank more than what I had before Wilder fight but this Swede still couldn't put me down.
Dad, you should be happy.
Chill man!!!
Me Too
Maybe it's the lack of live boxing catching up to me, but I'm actually looking forward to Wilder-Fury III. More than anything, I'm just curious how Wilder will approach it. He looked so gassed so quickly in their last fighter, I think he's got to address that (address it in a more substantive way than "the suit was heavy"). I want to see what he does to come back from getting toasted like that.

Eddie Hearn must have realised that Oleksandr Usyk will be 34 in January and doesn't have much time on his side or he already been warned by Team Usyk. Meanwhile, Usyks team knows that Usyk is a skilled boxer and they already will have 2 tune up heavyweight fights before the title challenge. They won't let go easily. Interesting months ahead.
I’m not exactly a fan of either Wilder or Fury’s style of fighting, or some of their odd statements. But the version of Fury that fought Wilder is not the same one that fought Klitschko. TBH, Wilder fought a Fury who is only 70% of what he was before (cocaine will do that to you — look at Sweet Pea’s career before and after), and Fury fought an aging, slipping Klitschko as well.
Wilder is best heavyweight right now. Fury was best heavyweight in 2015, but he threw it all away. And Klitschko was best heavyweight for the decade before him.
Good post!
Who has the bum Wilder fought in 43 fights apart from a 47-yr old Ortiz and a Fury who was inactive for 3 yrs?
But Josh will KO the bum, Wilder, in 3 rds, tho.
The bum got dropped by Harold Scorniers an Uber driver and it would've been a KO if not for the ref. Wilder is the most overrated and most protected boxer in history. The big ducking bum from Alabama.
"Olympic bronze medalist and undefeated heavyweight Deontay Wilder survived a second round knockdown before stopping journeyman Harold Sconiers 1:09 into the fourth round. “I never want anything easy”, explained Wilder following the fight. “I don’t want anything given to me.
I want to earn it.” Wilder (13-0) worked the jab to open the first and coupled it with an occasional right hand. A Wilder left, followed by a barrage, sent Sconiers to a knee for the first knockdown of the fight. Wilder was using Sconiers for target practice in the second when Sconiers struck gold with a big right hand to the chin. Wilder dropped to the canvas as the bell sounded to end the round.
Sconiers (17-21-2) started quickly in the third but was unable to capitalize on the knockdown. Wilder regained his senses and with it control of the fight. Wilder scored a knockdown in the fourth when the fast fading Sconiers wilted under pressure. The fight ended seconds later on a monstrous right hand from Wilder. When Sconiers crashed to the mat referee Wayne Hedgepeth didn’t bother to count.
Because the ref knew he needs medical attention.
Ref was never at fault. So please, don't put the blame on the ref's.
Wilder is pretty low hanging fruit at this point. So I will just say during the fight I noticed Wilder pawing at his arm or doing something strange with it. Actually I looked up the RBR thread and one of my first comments I found in the RBR fight thread I commented:
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=841201&page=12
Someone else noticing it too.
Keep in mind I was never a Wilder fan though I was rooting for a spectacular KO of Fury, that obviously did not happen lol
I saw that too. He couldn't move the right freely throughout the fight. If he really was hurt before the fight, i give him lot of respect for not pulling out of the fight last minute.
The Fury family is all over the road on Tyson. Didn't Fury's dad just say he would fight Tyson and beat him. Maybe Fury should beat up his dad for disrespecting the guy his dad named him after.
