Do you Think Boxing Will BE Better Of In The Future when Bob Arum and Don King leave the sport as promoters
When Arum and Don King were gone? Oh yes definitely in terms of credibilty in calling fighters champions but maybe not in terms of money. You see we cannot have both. There so much big money being generated because of these promotion thing but there are just so many fighters who have belts and titles. These two crooks have sweetened the "pot" in this sports but are wielding so much power to influence fight results to protect their wards . . . their investment.
What? Winky is refusing a ticket to superstardom? :p Any other foghter would jump and grab this opportunity. Let this be a sacrifice fight if he makes it through the all next fights will be megabuck fights, I'm sure.
You know why? Because of too much HYPING and PROMOTIONAL BUILD ups that turned out to be fluke . . . example? What happened to Menzi? . . . what happened to the Klitsckos? (excluding Vitali's latest victory). . . and aside from that people are getting tired of Fucki'n Don King.
Cotto is good, but he is by no means the god you guys make him out to be. You make it sound like he has mike tyson type of power and will just fuck up any1 who comes near him. That just isn't true. His a very good all-round boxer who knows how to box very well and picks his opponent apart. But to I really don't think he will KO Chico, I mean Chico is one tough dude. If anything, it will just be a decisive UD for Cotto who is the bigger and better all round boxer. None of this KO rubbish, but thats just my opinion.
I agree CHICO is tough but K.O. is always a possiblity.
Tszyu speaks out!
By Ray Wheatley -- World of Boxing
IBF 140 pound champion Kostya Tszyu is currently in Russia and has stated that he hasn't signed any contracts regarding his next title defense. American promoter Murad Muhammad has offered Tszyu a $14 million four fight deal. English promoter Frank Warren is confident Ricky Hatton will meet Tszyu in Manchester, England. "I am in Russia this Christmas Eve and it has been a very special time for me over the last two weeks," said Tszyu. "It was a great honor to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and to receive the Russian Sportstar of the Year Award for athletes living outside the country. I have also become an International Ambassador for Moscow’s bid to host the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. There have been many statements by others over the last few weeks that I have agreed to fight Ricky Hatton or even Oscar De La Hoya next. The truth is I have not signed any contracts or made any decision on when, where and against whom my next fight will be."

Okay clear enough :D these people can now stop dreaming. SCREW MURAD!
whatever you want to call it ..but i thinks pac style is wrong for morales...this fight will happen though so we will now by mid 05 who is the better one...
dammit i want to see joan guzman come up in weight and fight these 2 also
Guzman is a very promising fighter but he better test the waters first before plunging into it . . . why not Guzman Vs. Juarez first? That's a solid test for both fighters.
:D Look's like a man with a mission? He is indeed a man with a mission, if by chance he lost that fight he can kiss his aspiration to fight JMM, Morales and MAB goodbye. But it's not meant that way. He disposed off the THAI with his trademark devasting fashion. He is indeed very well conditioned and sharp.
And talking of JMM, he can no longer make alibis and excuses because Manny Pacquiao is now his mandatory challenger for the IBF title.
That's very argueable. There are a lot of good young fighters out there that are not being given enough chance to expose their skills, all these because of these MONEY SUCKING PROMOTERS.
he's the best now, and the most exciting. I'd rather love to watch Vitaly's fights than any other heavyweight boxer at this moment.
Fiscaliser, which young good fighters do u mean?
Well I'm not reffering to any names in particular . . . just wanted to point out that new comers in the division is not being given enough attention to be able to discover new hopefuls who can challenge Vitali.
Well whether people like it or not indeed Vitali seems to be the most dominant figure in the division. I said it's argueable because I want to see Vitali against the other belt holders,
Actually he's a Sri Lankan. But yes he does sound too much pro-Murad sometimes
A Sri Lankan? :D I heard that Philippines is over populated you guys can make a petition so your goverment can kick his ass off back to Sri Lanka. ;)
