sorry for the repeated post my computetr f's up some times and i click the mouse too much.
But kessler im not B.Sing that really happened in my dream i dont know
why they were fighting in my living room but they just were.
I cant explain but i saw hopkins beating the crap out of calzaghe
and everytime hopkins went for the knockout my couch was in the way of
calzaghe falling.
Nobody cares.
I's a hard question to answer. Probably his prime was the Lacy/ Kessler era, but it might be that it goes back further because he didn't really have a really tough fight for a while before that.
Then you have to consider that this is a guy who beat Chris Eubank while very young, and the fight was a huge step up in class. Eubank wasn't shot, as you will see if you watch the fight. He also had other good performances and wins around that time too. It was the middle years that were fallow.
I actually think the Joe that fought Eubank would give todays Joe plenty of problems. Same chin, perhaps even greater heart, faster, mor energy but plenty of power. I'd love to see it.
Who knows? Maybe Joe was prime from then until now. Maybe he had two primes. It's so hard to say.
Two primes isn't actually as odd as it sounds. I know JC lost interest in fighting at one point and was only doing it for the money, and during that time he didn't look too good. He regained interest, thankfully, and then became brilliant again.
Exactly! Bhop was fighting as if he had the fight in the bag. It's just frustrating to see a master like Bhop get beat because the other fighter was a busier slapper. If Joe landed 3 signifigant punches in the entire fight, that was alot!
Probably wasn't helped by his corner telling him he had the fight in the bag. His corner were useless. They are supposed to motivate a fighter like Enzo did with Joe, not make him comfortable and happy.
Who wins? I think Povetkin is going to win this one by decision, then Estrada will cry like a baby that he was robbed in Germany. Also theirs youtube videos on how disgusting of a person Estrada is saying that he will use what ever tactics will help him out even including using his elbows as a weapon against Povetkin... Dirty ass boxer This is called boxing not street fighting, plus Estrada probably has to use his elbows since Estrada can't punch worth a damn.
Povetkin on points man.
Calzaghe cant seem to stop talking but the talk is almost over. If I have ever seen a man nervous he is that man and he should be nervous. Hopkins is not a fake gangster like Lacy was. Calzaghe will be facing a Philly thug for real. Hopkins is not the studio gangster you think he is.
He ain't nervous, he ain't scared of gangsters. He's pissed off that Hopkins has been racist, gotten personal and insulted his father, and generally talked shit and disrespected him. He didn't say shit to Kessler because Kessler was and is a respectful person, so basically Joe is only giving as good as he's getting. Making it into a black vs. white issue is a low down thing to do.
He's got more then a chance, he's the definitive favorite imo. Calzaghe is a busy fighter who slaps, and leaves himself wide open to counters down the middle. Say hello to another early round KO in Tarver's career
You're joking? Calzaghe ain't getting KO'd by anyone. It just won't happen. Chin's too good, that's why he never loses.
Calzaghe should tell Roy to get lost. Roy wanted no part of Calzaghe when Warren was asking for fights, he turned them down because of the risk/reward ratio. Now Joe holds the aces. Tough shit, Roy.
PS: Yes, I'm a Jones fan, but it's pretty easy to see he's ruined his chance at a crack at Calzaghe. He should go for Johnson.
