When a fighter like Baldomir can beat Judah, I have to think that there is at least a decent chance Gomez could. Gomez isn't all that different from Baldomir. Just like against Baldomir, Judah wins against Gomez on paper, but what happens on paper and what happens in the ring are two very different things. That's something that has been evident about Zab for quite a while now.
Gomez is a tough kid that has fought up at the middle weight level. I don't Zab's power would do mean much to him, but Zab's speed could and should. It's till Judah though, you never know.
I'd like to see this fight.
No matter if you are picking Mosley or Cotto, I don't see how you can possibly not get that this is a fight that could go either way. So mocking either side as if they are idiots is like flinging shit straight up in the air and not moving. When it's all said and done and you are covered in feces, maybe you'll think things through the next time you fling shit.
I believe it's legitimate health concerns that caused Vargas to pull out of this fight. I don't think a fighter of Vargas caliber and character is intimidated by over the top words of a guy like Mayorga.
Also believe that he realized that he's pregnant. He has to think of the baby.
